Warm greetings to all my dear and esteemed friends of this fantastic community. From here, I send you all a virtual hug. Today, I bring you a new story I've written. If you're new to my blog, I'll tell you that these stories are related to our favorite game, Rising Star. My goal with them, besides entertaining, is to further expand the game's lore, which is certainly very intriguing. That said, if you're ready, we can begin. The featured card is R281 Lenny. A rare card from the people section. Let's get started.
Our friend Lenny just graduated from high school and now wants to conquer the world. He has a degree in musical arts and is very interested in putting into practice everything he has learned over all his years of school. Since he was little, he has studied music because his parents urged him to. Now the world is zullo, it's his time to show his worth. He doesn't want to be an instrumentalist; he's more interested in composing music and then singing it himself. He also wants to be the writer of his own songs. He doesn't want to sing with other people's lyrics. That's something he's always been clear about. To begin his new life, he begins writing songs at home.
He already has three notebooks of song lyrics, and many of them, in his opinion, are very good. In addition, some classmates have told him that his style is very good; they have been impressed by his songwriting talent. After much conversation with his former classmates, they recommend that with these lyrics, he is ready to begin producing his first album. Or at least he releases a few songs first to see how they perform.
Well, what he does then is record a few and then upload them to his social media channel. That way, people get to know him before releasing the album. As time goes by, he ends up releasing several songs online. Each one is very well received, and everyone praises his skill and the message he conveys in his lyrics, which are almost always about struggle and resistance.
But even so, the songs don't get a huge amount of views. He's an emerging singer, so it's normal for this to happen. But at least the support for his work is very noticeable. Even if it's not much, people have given him hope. Well, after being in that situation of releasing songs on social media and playing some on the radio, he decided it was time to release the album. An album that would include all his current songs and also have many newer ones so people would take away something new. But it wasn't all that easy. Since he was an emerging singer, no record label wanted to pay the costs of making the album. They said it was too risky. So they didn't give him anything to make the album.
But Lenny is quite resilient in the face of problems, so he didn't give up. He turned to his brother David for a loan. And he lent him a large portion. Then he turned to his parents, and they also gave him a portion. And so he went to various people, like classmates and industry partners. He was able to raise the money without much difficulty. But it was a huge sum that he couldn't afford even after 10 years of work. So it was very important that this album be a success to recoup the investment. Lenny knew this, and it was the only thing that made him nervous. But he didn't think too much about something that hasn't happened yet.
With the money in hand, he began hiring advertising professionals, paying producers to improve his music, and mixers to record the songs. With all the personnel in place, he recorded the album. Most agreed it would be a hit. But others had their doubts, especially the experienced producers. They recommended that he invest as much as he could in advertising, as that would help him get off the ground the most. Lenny listened to them and dedicated a large sum of his earnings to this. After paying all the salaries, the money left was very limited. But luckily, there was enough for everyone.
Release day arrived, and the album was posted online for people to buy. Physical copies were also made available in some stores. Many people bought it online. But sales were modest compared to the investment required. In the following days, Lenny and his producers saw that sales were declining and that they still hadn't reached the investment. It was very worrying for him because the payment date was approaching and he still didn't have the money. He spent those days biting his nails. Some told him his album would be a flop, that he should have listened to them. But he simply ignored them. His desire was to succeed, and he had to take a risk.
Just when all seemed lost, word of mouth began to increase sales. The album began to be profitable for the first time in weeks. Now it was making a profit, and Lenny could pay and have money. The album was finally a resounding success; it didn't make him a millionaire, but it was more than good enough for his first. He now had the funds for two more albums, and this was only the beginning of his career. But he succeeded because he was willing to pursue his goal and take risks. People loved the album and are already looking forward to the next one.
Dear friends, with this I say goodbye for today. Have a wonderful day. Best regards.
