The last flare of summer unfolded today like a golden curtain closing on a stage. I skipped my morning walk but set off on a slow summer bicycle tour through the green surroundings instead with an old friend. The air carried the calm of a countryside lane, even though we never left the city. As the ride wound down, we stumbled upon a surprise: the rooftop garden of a newly built office building nearby had finally opened. From up there, the view stretched endlessly across Berlin, crowned by an epic sunset that painted the horizon in fire and fading rose. I captured both moments for you and added a final flourish with a passion flower, a quiet reminder that small details often make the biggest memories.
Das letzte Aufbäumen des Sommers zeigte sich heute wie ein goldener Vorhang, der sich schließt. Statt meines Morningwalks machte ich mit einer alten Freundin eine entspannte Sommerradtour durch die grüne Umgebung. Die Luft fühlte sich nach Landstraße an, obwohl wir die Stadt nicht verließen. Zum Abschluss entdeckten wir, dass der öffentliche Dachgarten eines neu gebauten Bürohauses in meiner Nähe endlich geöffnet war. Von dort oben hatten wir einen großartigen Rundumblick über Berlin, gekrönt von einem epischen Sonnenuntergang, der den Himmel in Feuer und Rosa tauchte. Beides habe ich euch natürlich mitgebracht und mit einer Passionsblume geschmückt.
