The chill of a cold autumn morning wrapped around me like an old coat as I set out for my palace gardens walk. The air held a steady eight degrees, sharp but not unbearable, and each breath carried the crispness of fading leaves. I walked my intervals with steady steps, collecting a few chestnuts that had fallen from the trees. They sat snug in my hands, rolling like quiet qi gong spheres, keeping my fingers nimble and my mind anchored. At the carp pond I paused for breathing and meditation, letting the water’s stillness sweep away stubborn thoughts. The rhythm of breath and the rustle of branches blended into a moment that felt both fleeting and full. I did not leave empty handed: along with the chestnuts I carried back a delicate white passionflower, a small gift that seemed too rare to be overlooked.
Die Kälte eines klaren Herbstmorgens legte sich wie ein alter Mantel um mich, als ich meine Runde durch den Schlosspark begann. Die Luft war bei acht Grad scharf, doch nicht unerträglich, und jeder Atemzug schmeckte nach fallenden Blättern. Schritt für Schritt sammelte ich Kastanien auf, die wie leise Qi Gong Kugeln in meinen Händen rollten und meine Finger beweglich hielten. Am Karpfenteich hielt ich inne, atmete bewusst und ließ mit der Stille des Wassers die Gedanken gehen. Atem und Blätterrauschen verschmolzen zu einem Moment, der flüchtig und doch erfüllt wirkte. Mitgebracht habe ich nicht nur Kastanien, sondern auch eine zarte weiße Passionsblume, zu schön, um sie liegen zu lassen.
