The morning air bit like a cold whisper against my cheeks, a reminder that autumn had finally folded summer away. I walked the Luiseninsel loop through the freezing palace gardens, where silence seemed to sparkle. The big flower pots had already been tucked into the palace gardener’s care, sleeping until spring. The queen’s bust stood proudly again, gracefully adorned with fresh colors that defied the chill. I smiled when I reached the hollow tree, stuffed like a treasure chest of seasons. Overhead, birds carved southern paths across the pale sky, their wings slicing through the stillness. I didn’t come home empty-handed, though. I brought you the sunrise, soft, slow, and golden — and a few quiet moments that shouldn‘t melt away.
Die Morgenluft biss wie ein kaltes Flüstern in meine Wangen, ein Zeichen dafür, dass der Herbst den Sommer endgültig eingepackt hatte. Ich ging die Luiseninselrunde durch den gefrorenen Schlosspark, wo die Stille glitzerte. Die großen Blumentöpfe waren längst in der Schlossgärtnerei verstaut, im Winterschlaf. Die Büste der Königin stand wieder stolz da, geschmückt mit Farben, die der Kälte trotzten. Beim hohlen Baum, blieb ich kurz stehen, er war wieder bunt gefüllt wie eine Schatztruhe der Jahreszeiten. Über mir schnitten Vögel ihre Wege gen Süden in den blassen Himmel. Doch ich kam nicht mit leeren Händen zurück. Ich brachte euch den Sonnenaufgang, sanft, golden und langsam – und ein paar stille Momente, die nicht verschwinden sollten.
