Hello everyone. Life is full of special moments, and yesterday I had the chance to witness one of the most beautiful ones. My dear friend Mehmet, whom I have known for 13 years, got engaged to the love of his life. It was not only a celebration of two people coming together but also a reminder of how friendship can last through years, distance, and all the changes life brings.
Mehmet and I first met at work. We were young, full of energy, and ready to start our careers. From the very beginning, we connected easily and built a strong friendship. Over the years, our paths have changed—different cities, different jobs, different routines—but the bond we created never faded. Even today, when I go to Ankara or when he comes to Istanbul, we always find time to meet. His family also knows me well; they treat me like one of their own. I often visit them, and they always welcome me with warm hospitality and delicious dinners.

Hayat özel anlarla dolu, dün akşam da bunlardan birine şahit oldum. 13 yıldır tanıdığım canım arkadaşım Mehmet, hayatının aşkıyla nişanlandı. Bu sadece iki insanın bir araya gelmesi değil, aynı zamanda dostluğun yıllar boyunca, mesafeler ve değişen hayatlara rağmen nasıl sürdüğünün de bir hatırlatıcısıydı.
Mehmet’le ilk kez iş yerinde tanıştık. O zamanlar daha gençtik, enerjik ve kariyerimize yeni başlıyorduk. Başlangıçtan itibaren kolayca anlaştık ve sağlam bir dostluk kurduk. Yıllar içinde yollarımız değişti—farklı şehirler, farklı işler, farklı rutinler—ama aramızdaki bağ hiç kopmadı. Bugün bile ben Ankara’ya gittiğimde ya da o İstanbul’a geldiğinde mutlaka görüşürüz. Ailesi de beni çok iyi tanır; her zaman evlerine davet eder, sofralarında misafir ederler.
Dün, Mehmet için büyük bir dönüm noktasıydı. Onu nişanlısıyla yan yana, yüzünde büyük bir mutlulukla gördüm. Mekân çiçeklerle ve ışıklarla süslenmişti, gerçekten unutulmaz bir gün için mükemmel bir atmosfer vardı. Davetliler çiftin üzerine para ve hediyeler taktılar; bu, sevgi ve desteği göstermenin geleneksel bir yoludur. Ortam kahkahalar, hayır duaları ve mutlulukla doluydu.
Beni en çok etkileyen şey, Mehmet’in nişanlısına bakışları oldu. Gözleri mutlulukla parlıyordu ve onun için ne kadar değerli olduğunu belli ediyordu. Yakın bir arkadaşının bu kadar mutlu olduğunu görmek insanın kalbini ısıtıyor. O an sadece bir nişana tanıklık etmiyordum, aynı zamanda onun sevincine ortak oluyordum.
Birlikte fotoğraf çekerken aklıma yıllar içinde yaşadıklarımız geldi. Sıradan iş günlerinden hayatın en büyük dönüm noktalarını kutlamaya kadar, gerçekten inanılmaz bir yolculuk oldu. Böyle dostluklar çok nadir bulunur ve paylaştığımız her an için minnettarım.
Şimdi ise düğünlerini dört gözle bekliyorum. Şimdiden mutluluğu, müziği, dansı ve kutlamaları hayal edebiliyorum. Düğünler sadece çift için değil; aileleri, dostları ve toplulukları bir araya getiren günlerdir. Mehmet’in düğününün unutulmaz olacağına eminim.
Sonuçta en önemlisi birbirine eşlik edebilmek. Dün, arkadaşımın hayatının en mutlu anlarından birinde yanındaydım ve bu bana dostluğun değerini bir kez daha hatırlattı. Hayat değişiyor, işler değişiyor, şehirler değişiyor ama gerçek dostlar hep kalıyor. Mehmet ve nişanlısı adına çok mutluyum ve onların yeni hayatlarına başlamalarını sabırsızlıkla bekliyorum. ❤️
