He sentido que me he ausentado un buen tiempo de las plataformas donde suelo escribir. No es que me haya olvidado de ustedes, es que la vida, con sus cambios bruscos, me exigió atención: mudarme de país, adaptarme a un nuevo empleo, reorganizar horarios. Todo eso consume más energía de la que imaginamos.
Quizás alguien piense: **¿De verdad no tienes ni unos minutos para un post?**
Pues sí, los tengo. Pero escribir no es solo soltar palabras. Es seleccionar imágenes, corregir con detalle, dar forma a una idea hasta que se parezca a lo que quiero transmitir. Eso no se hace en cinco minutos, y yo respeto demasiado el acto de escribir como para despacharlo a la ligera.
Claro, también está el asunto práctico: dedicar tiempo a algo que no siempre paga, frente a trabajar en algo que sí asegura un ingreso. Esa balanza me ha empujado más hacia lo económico, aunque la recompensa emocional de escribir sigue siendo más grande. Tanto que, aunque no he podido salir a un museo o a un parque, en mi libreta sigo acumulando historias, reflexiones y aprendizajes.
Lo más curioso fue una “pausa forzada” en mi trabajo: dos días no fuimos a trabajar por la visita del ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
Imaginen: la llamada llegó un día antes y nadie se presentó en los siguientes dos días. El miedo no distingue papeles, ni siquiera nacionalidad. En el país de los “derechos”, la ley a veces parece disfrazada de cacería. Pero no todo es negativo. Mientras la rutina me aprieta, sigo sembrando palabras. Historias de amor y desamor, de éxitos y fracasos, de gente que lucha y de gente que se rinde. Y en cada una de esas notas descubro lo mismo: seguimos aquí, creando nuestro propio destino.
Y sí, puede que haya estado callado un rato… pero jamás ausente.

I've felt like I've been absent from the platforms where I usually write for a while. It's not that I've forgotten about you, it's that life, with its sudden changes, has demanded my attention: moving to another country, adapting to a new job, reorganizing schedules. All of this consumes more energy than we imagine.
Perhaps someone is thinking: **Do you really not have a few minutes for a post?**
Well, yes, I do. But writing isn't just about spewing words. It's about selecting images, editing in detail, shaping an idea until it resembles what I want to convey. That can't be done in five minutes, and I respect the act of writing too much to dismiss it lightly.
Of course, there's also the practical issue: dedicating time to something that doesn't always pay off, versus working on something that does guarantee an income. That balance has tipped me more toward the financial side, although the emotional reward of writing is still greater. So much so that, although I haven't been able to go out to a museum or a park, I continue to accumulate stories, reflections, and lessons in my notebook.
