Planting by the moon & repurposing egg cartons - Open3ye's earth deed of the day

@open3ye · 2019-04-21 03:07 · earhdeeds

Yesterday and the day before I planted squash, tomato, cucumber, melon and hemp seeds because utilizing the power of the moon can really boost the germination and vitality of your seeds.

Always look to repurpos whatever you can in order to reduce the ammount that you consume, and thus your carbon footprint

Since I didnt have any seed germinating pots I decided to save some money(and the environment) by planting my seeds in egg cartons(I stockpile them for use in composting).

I found them to work quite effectively for starting seed, and a useful way to repurpos the egg cartons before composting, just to get the extra life out of 'em.

After cutting the cartons I poked holes in the bottoms to allow for better drainage.

Then I cut up some to-go containers to be used as labels instead of buying plastic labels.

After that I filled the cartons with soil and planted my heirloom seeds🌞

I hope that this article inspires you to repurpose and gets you out to plant some food. Providing food security is the best deed that you can do, for the earth and for the people!

If you found this to be useful information I encourage you to give me a follow and resteem this article.

Blessings on your journey and may you all live your bliss!
