Que dice la gente! Espero se encuentren muy bien. En esta oportunidad vengo a contarles una experiencia que viví recientemente junto a mi banda Meganova: grabar el video de nuestra primera canción en colaboración, junto a 10 cantantes, en conmemoración al Día de la Mujer. Una canción que fue hecha con mucho cariño por mujeres, para mujeres.
What’s up! hope you are well. In this opportunity I come to share with you an experience that I recently lived together with my band Meganova: recording the video of our first collaborative song, together with 10 singers, in commemoration of Women's Day. A song that was made with a lot of love by women, for women.
## Origen y concepto
Esta canción nació de la iniciativa de Yenli Itriago, cantante e influencer venezolana que nos invitó a todas a formar parte de esta colaboración hecha en conmemoración al Día de la Mujer.
Michelle, la cantante de nuestra banda Meganova, fue un de las personas que participó en el proceso de composición de esta canción, la cual tiene un mensaje de fortaleza dirigido a las mujeres, con frases como:
- “siempre me he dicho que claro que puedo”
- “nadie es mas fuerte como quien se construyó a sí misma”
- “ya no tengo que esperar que me quieran salvar”
- “lo primero es soltar el miedo”
- “entiendo mis errores y me animo a seguir”
## Origin and concept
This song was born from the initiative of Yenli Itriago, Venezuelan singer and influencer who invited us all to be part of this collaboration made in commemoration of Women's Day.
Michelle, the singer of our band Meganova, was one of the people who participated in the process of composing this song, which has a message of strength addressed to women, with phrases such as:
- "I have always told myself that of course I can".
- “no one is stronger than the one who built herself".
- “I no longer have to wait for them to want to save me".
- "the first thing is to let go of fear"
- “I understand my mistakes and I encourage myself to continue".

En esta canción participaron un total de 17 mujeres, la mayoría se dedican al género pop y urbano, siendo nosotras (Meganova) las únicas representantes del gremio rock.

## El video musical
La dirección del video estuvo a cargo de Jean Piero Sánchez (@jean_piero_sanchez en instagram), con la asistencia de nuestra guitarrista Paola Di Girolamo.
El video musical fue grabado en un día, en una casa ubicada en la Trinidad, Caracas. Esta casa cuenta con una vista super bonita de la ciudad, con las montañas a lo lejos, paisaje al cual le sacaron bastante provecho para las tomas individuales de las cantantes.
Por otro lado, para las tomas grupales se utilizó una locación distinta, en este caso el area de la escalera, donde posicionaron a las cantantes, y un trozo de la sala, donde ubicaron a nuestra banda.

## The music video
The video was directed by Jean Piero Sánchez (@jean_piero_sanchez on instagram), with the assistance of our guitarist Paola Di Girolamo.
The music video was recorded in one day, in a house located in La Trinidad, Caracas. This house has a super nice view of the city, with the mountains in the distance, a landscape that they took advantage of for the individual shots of the singers.
On the other hand, for the group shots they used a different location, in this case the staircase area, where they positioned the singers, and a part of the living room, where they placed our band.

## Aprendizaje
De este proyecto aprendí que hacer una canción no tiene porque tomar mucho tiempo. Este fue un proyecto que se realizó prácticamente en 15 días, incluyendo la captación de artistas, reunión de composición, grabación, mezcla y master, video musical, campaña de intriga y estreno. Sin duda los procesos fueron un pelo atropellados y hechos con premura, pero manteniendo la calidad en el resultado. Fue un trabajo en equipo que resultó muy bien.
Esta colaboración también me ha permitido conectar con otras mujeres artistas super talentosas, y esto me hace sentir muy agradecida de estar en una época y entorno en el cual se promueve mucho la unión, colaboración y fortaleza femenina.
## Learning
From this project I learned that making a song doesn't have to take a long time. This was a project that was done in practically 15 days, including artist recruitment, songwriting meeting, recording, mixing and mastering, music video, intrigue campaign and premiere. Undoubtedly the processes were a bit rushed and hurried, but maintaining the quality of the result. It was a team effort that turned out very well.
This collaboration has also allowed me to connect with other super talented female artists, and this makes me feel very grateful to be in a time and environment in which female unity, collaboration and strength are very much promoted.

Ya que estamos hablando de un proyecto hecho exclusivamente por mujeres, quería contarles que ahora además de estar con mi banda de rock de chicas, Meganova, este mes voy a participar como invitada en un ensamble de percusión de solo mujeres, llamado Ensamble VENUS. A final de mes tendré un concierto con ellas así que atentos a mi blog, ya que se viene mas música hecha por mujeres.

Since we are talking about a project made exclusively by women, I wanted to tell you that now besides being with my all-girl rock band, Meganova, this month I will be participating as a guest in an all-female percussion ensemble, called Ensamble VENUS. At the end of the month I will have a concert with them so stay tuned to my blog, as more music made by women is coming.
