Day 31: Pumpkin Head Wizard 🎃 | Wizard Inktober 🎃 | Drawing challeng 🎃

**Inktober** is a drawing challenge that involves creating a drawing every day in October based on a series of words or phrases. It encourages people to draw and improve their drawing skills. It was created by Jake Parker and was originally a challenge where participants had to draw with ink and, obviously, using traditional methods, but over the years people have participated using a variety of materials, both traditional and digital. This year, I decided to complete the House of Wizard Inktober challenge, and I will be following each daily theme to the letter. > **Inktober** es un reto de dibujo, el cual consiste en hacer un dibujo cada día del mes de octubre, mediante una serie de palabras o frases. My idea was to make the character appear to be splitting open or opening up to reveal its true identity, which in this case is the eye we can see in the original drawing. > Comencé estructurando el personaje, tomando en cuenta algunas referencias que busque por internet de calabazas. La verdad mi idea era hacer que el personaje se estuviese partiendo la cabeza o que se estuviera abriendo la misma y dejando saber cual es su verdadera identidad, que en este caso es el ojo que podemos ver en el dibujo original. ||| |---|---| ||| When I had the sketch ready, I went over it with an eraser to remove the excess graphite and then defined it a little more with a mechanical pencil, leaving it ready to start adding details. > Cuando tuve el boceto listo, lo que hice fue pasar por encima de este un borrar para quitar el exceso de grafito u luego definirlo un poco mas con un portaminas, dejándolo listo para comenzara detallarlo. ||| |---|---| ||| I begin painting the drawing with a light base for what will become the shadows. Then I increase the intensity of the paint to give the drawing more contrast, and I spend a good amount of time painting and adding details. > Comienzo a pintar el dibujo son una base clara para lo que vendrían siendo las sombras. Luego voy aumentado la intensidad de la pintura para irle dando mas contraste a el dibujo y así me la paso un buen rato, pintando y detallando. ||| |---|---| ||| When I have the drawing completely painted and knowing that I won't be painting any more, what I do is let it dry and then I start to add details with a mechanical pencil, only in the areas where I need to give more definition to the line art. I also add some final details such as some highlights and so on, and that's it, folks, that's all there is to it. I hope you enjoyed my participation in this year's Inktober. > Cuando tengo el dibujo pintado por completo y sabiendo que no pintare mas, lo que hago es dejar secarlo y luego de eso, comienzo a detallarlo con un portaminas, solo en las zonas donde requiera darle mas definición en cuanta al line art. Agrego también unos últimos detalles como algunos brillos y demás y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
