Greetings to all coffee lovers, since a few days ago I am trying to share with you a dream experience at the **Café Literario Marqués de Arcos**, but if it is not because I have no connection it is because there is no electricity, I have been leaving it and I could not participate in the tcsp of the previous week.
Recently, it was my birthday and I wanted to do something quiet, not too expensive and that I liked, so I did not hesitate a minute to choose to walk around Old Havana, I really enjoy walking around Havana.
I started my tour along Obispo boulevard, walked until I reached the Plaza de Armas, where my husband and I sat down to take a break and enjoy some candy we bought.
In spite of the breeze and the beauty of the place, we were not able to restore our energy and of course we realized that we needed a sip of coffee☕.
We decided to walk a few blocks to Mercaderes Street to visit the Café Literario Márques de Arcos.
This place is 100% sure that you will have a happy and pleasant stay, since I arrived I was undecided choosing the place to sit, I did not know whether to do it in their gardens or enter the place.
I decided on the second option, as I had already been sitting in the Plaza, but the view from the outside is very nice, you can see a mural that covers an entire wall on the street, this work describes Old Colonial Havana.
From the moment you arrive the workers assist you with kindness and fraternity, the offers are not very varied, but very well prepared and appetizing. It is fair to say that with the economic situation of the country it is impossible to find at these prices offers with excellent quality, not that it is cheap, but far from the prices of other places.
The atmosphere of the café is very cozy, you will find shelves with books of different genres and various magazines. The students of the University of San Geronimo like to study in this place because of the proximity to the university, the tranquility, the warm treatment and the excellent service they provide.
One of the things I like the most is the decoration as a whole, with phrases and thoughts of famous authors, both on the walls and the furniture and doylen covering the table.
The music offered is soft and relaxing, the distribution of lights makes the illumination very successful.
In few places in the state, you feel so well served, the hot coffee is delicious, the burgers and sweets have excellent texture, presentation and taste. The service is very fast and efficient.
My afternoon was very different, as a book about opera caught my attention. I recently went with my niece to the Lyric Theater and I was curious to learn a little more about this genre.
I enjoyed my coffee while I took a look at the book.
I took some pictures with the baristas who so kindly served us, their smile and warmth I remember and appreciate very much.
Everything I am telling you is more than inspiring to dedicate a few lines of recognition to the excellence of the service in this Café, if we had to evaluate it, we can say that all its parameters are fulfilled in 200%.
Thank you all for your reading and comments. If you are in Havana be sure to visit this Café.
