Saludos, comunidad de Top Family, este platillo que nos muestra nuestro amigo @lanzjoseg, es realmente una tentación, yo recuerdo las arepas y empanadas que preparaban mis abuelas y mi madre, los niños en vacaciones o los sábados y domingos, disfrutábamos de estos platillos.
Yo siempre soñé el poderlo realizar para mis nietos, pero la vida nos da sorpresa y resulta que mis hijos emigraron y mi nieto nació en USA.
Esas son una de las tantas cosas que me entristecen, de la situación que vivimos hoy en día, las tradiciones se pierden y las pequeñas cosas que tienen un alto valor sentimental, como esas tardes de domingo en familia, ya se convierten en un acto que no todos pueden hacer.
Resulta muy triste ver como cosas tan simples se nos hacen difíciles hoy en día en Cuba, aquí tengo mis nietos adoptivos y no puedo por un sin fin de problemas desde los económicos como los de transporte, reunirme con ellos y prepararles estas arepas, porque no hay harina y si tengo la harina no hay azúcar.
La carne ripiada si la hago con frecuencia, lo mismo utilizo pollo que cualquier otra, lo importante es saltearla con vegetales, esto resulta muy nutritivo, a mi vecinita María Fernanda que solo tiene 2 añitos le gusta que se la prepare, su mama me lo agradece, pues es la mejor forma que la niña se coma la carne, el secreto está en los colores de los vegetales el verde y rojo hace muy buen contraste.
Por último los colores del plato, también me llevan a la casa de los abuelos, hoy no tenemos diversidad de vajillas, pero de niña me gustaba mucho ese tipo de platos con colores alegres o figuras llamativas.
Pienso que no cueste mucho trabajar en función de eso, todo va en la voluntad que tengan los que tienen acceso a los recursos.
En fin, esta foto me ha llevado a revivir momentos muy dulces de mi niñez, lo cual agradezco a @lanzjoseg

Greetings, Top Family community, this dish that our friend @lanzjoseg shows us is truly a temptation. I remember the arepas and empanadas my grandmothers and mother used to make. We children used to enjoy these dishes on vacation or on Saturdays and Sundays.
I always dreamed of making them for my grandchildren, but life surprises us, and it turns out my children emigrated and my grandson was born in the USA.
These are some of the many things that sadden me about the situation we live in today. Traditions are being lost, and the little things that hold a high sentimental value, like those Sunday afternoons with the family, have become something not everyone can do.
It's very sad to see how such simple things are difficult for us these days in Cuba. I have my adopted grandchildren here, and I can't, due to endless problems, from financial to transportation issues, meet with them and make these arepas because there's no flour, and even if I have flour, there's no sugar.
I make shredded meat frequently, using chicken as well as any other dish. The important thing is to sauté it with vegetables.This is very nutritious. My neighbor, María Fernanda, who is only 2 years old, likes it when I prepare it. Her mother thanks me for it, as it's the best way for her to eat meat. The secret is in the colors of the vegetables; the green and red make a great contrast.
Finally, the colors of the plate also remind me of my grandparents' house. Today, we don't have a variety of tableware, but as a child, I really liked those types of plates with bright colors or eye-catching designs.
I don't think it's hard to work toward that goal; it all depends on the willingness of those with access to the resources.
Anyway, this photo has made me relive some very sweet moments from my childhood, for which I am grateful to @lanzjoseg .
