After Iron Man 2 in 2010, Marvel continued its journey by releasing Thor on May 6, 2011, with a runtime of 1 hour and 55 minutes. --- Plot 🗒️ ---  Thor, the God of Thunder, lives in Asgard, a well-developed kingdom ruled by his father, Odin. Thor is powerful, but he has no control over his anger and always makes careless decisions. Odin sends him down to Earth as punishment. Odin's motive was to teach Thor what it means to be a true hero without his hammer Mjolnir. On Earth, he meets scientist Jane Foster and her team. They help him to understand the new world. Meanwhile, Thor’s brother Loki discovers secrets about his own past and plans to take the throne of Asgard by letting the frost giants enter Asgard. Thor must prove himself worthy to regain his powers, stop Loki’s plan, and protect both Earth and Asgard. --- What Worked ✅ ---  Visuals: Asgard looked beautiful and magical, unlike anything we had seen before in the MCU. That was just the beginning. Thor’s Journey: His becoming from arrogant prince to responsible hero gave the movie full excitement and kept the audience entertained.  Action and Fun: The fight scenes with the Destroyer and Thor’s struggle to lift Mjolnir were quite remarkable fights to watch, while his funny moments on Earth added humor. Introduction to New Characters: This film introduced Thor, Loki, and Hawkeye to the MCU, laying the foundation for future stories. --- What Didn’t Work ❌ ---  Losing Interest: The movie sometimes felt slow, especially during Thor’s time on Earth. Villain: Loki was interesting, but the Destroyer felt weak in the final fight. Romance: The love story between Thor and Jane didn't seem perfect to me. Like why would I choose her instead of Sif? --- Standout Performances 😎 ---  Chris Hemsworth made a strong debut as Thor, having charm, humor, and heroism. Tom Hiddleston was excellent as Loki, showing both pain and madness. He quickly became one of Marvel’s best villains. Natalie Portman brought love as Jane Foster, though her role was smaller compared to the others. Anthony Hopkins gave Odin authority and wisdom, adding depth to the story. --- Final Thoughts 💭 ---  Thor is a mix of fantasy, action, and humor that has takes the MCU to bigger worlds that are out of the Earth.
