Las experiencias de la vida siempre suceden por o para algo y si uno intenta leer entre líneas, podemos rescatar mucha información y por supuesto crecer en el camino. Esta publicación y reflexión nace de una experiencia que me pasó esta semana. Hace un mes aproximadamente llevo a reparar mi bicicleta a un local de un amigo o quizás compañero de vida mejor dicho y casualmente, luego de un mes, la bicicleta empieza a tener problemas. Mantener una bicicleta realmente es costoso y que el trabajo no sea realizado como corresponde, realmente indigna. >! [English] Life's experiences always happen for a reason, and if one tries to read between the lines, we can glean a lot of information and, of course, grow along the way. This post and reflection stem from an experience I had this week. About a month ago, I took my bike to a friend's shop, or perhaps a life partner's, to be more precise, and coincidentally, after a month, the bike started having problems. Maintaining a bike is really expensive, and having the work done improperly is truly undignified. ___  La bicicleta ahora está haciendo vista por otro bicicletero y como siempre me quedo con el oro de las relaciones, nada le he dicho al anterior mecánico. Pero esto me lleva a reflexionar y tiene que ver con algo que mi padre decía. *Mi palabra es un documento,* **decía el viejo** y vaya que así era. Siempre lo digo y lo vuelvo a decir, materialmente muy poco recibí de herencia, pero sí esos valores que al día de hoy intento plasmarlo en mi vida y con mis hijos. Estrechar la mano es la firma sutil de cerrar un contrato. Por supuesto que en ocasiones y asumo la responsabilidad, no la cumplo. A veces me comprometo con ir a un lugar o hacer algo y no lo hago. Es por eso que dije, intento plasmarlo a mi vida de manera consciente. >! [English] The bike is now being serviced by another bike repairer, and as always, I keep the gold of relationships, so I haven't said anything to the previous mechanic. But this makes me reflect, and it has to do with something my father used to say. *My word is a document,* **the old man used to say**, and it was certainly true. I always say it and I'll say it again: materially, I inherited very little, but I did possess those values, which to this day I try to embody in my life and with my children. Shaking hands is the subtle signature of a contract. Of course, sometimes I take responsibility, but I don't fulfill it. Sometimes I commit to going somewhere or doing something, and I don't. That's why I said, I try to consciously embody it in my life. ___  Por aquellos tiempos la cosa era así. La palabra tenía un poder increíble y no hacía falta documentos. Luego llegaron las instituciones y las empresas que hacían de intermediarios para que un contrato se llevara a cabo y se cumpliera. Y hoy, con el advenimiento de la tecnología blockchain y de la web 3 creo que volvemos al origen. Más allá de que es virtual, y que todo queda plasmado en la blockchain a través de contratos inteligentes, creo que volvemos a esa fortaleza de la **palabra**. Todo queda registrado en la blockchain y cada transacción que hacemos, habla de nuestra forma de ser y en caso de que mantengamos una coherencia, es motivo para confiar en este caso en el autor. Por supuesto que pienso que ningún sistema garantiza el 100% de que se llevará a cabo lo firmado. Pero entiendo que la blockchain se acerca en demasía a eso. >! [English] Back then, things were like this. Words had incredible power, and no documents were necessary. Then came institutions and companies that acted as intermediaries for a contract to be executed and fulfilled. And today, with the advent of blockchain technology and Web 3, I think we're returning to the origins. Beyond the fact that it's virtual, and that everything is captured on the blockchain through smart contracts, I think we're returning to that strength of the **word**. Everything is recorded on the blockchain, and every transaction we make speaks to our way of being, and if we maintain consistency, it's reason to trust the author in this case. Of course, I think no system guarantees 100% that what was signed will be carried out.
