El invierno realmente fue muy crudo en esta temporada 2025 y estando en vacaciones escolares, los niños se la pasaron prácticamente en la casa. Salimos muy poco al parque y algo que poco se usa en estos tiempos, es visitar a parientes (tíos, madrinas, abuelos, etcétera). Quizás en algunos lugares todavía sigue existiendo esta modalidad, pero en mi familia no ocurre más. Por lo tanto, y siendo el último día de vacaciones de invierno. El niño menor Don Juan me pide ir a KFC. >! [English] The winter was really harsh in the 2025 season, and since it was school vacation, the children spent most of their time at home. We rarely went to the park, and something that is rarely done these days is visiting relatives (uncles, godparents, grandparents, etc.). Perhaps in some places this tradition still exists, but in my family it no longer happens. But we are a family that, although we like to take care of ourselves nutritionally, sometimes we go a little overboard. > > ___ ||| |-|-| || Todo arreglado, preparamos los mates y fuimos a tomar el colectivo, para llegar a la plaza de Monte grande y a pesar de que estuvo lloviendo ese día, pudimos hacer unas lindas capturas, mientras esperábamos a nuestra princesa. La iglesia estaba cerrada, pero igualmente agradecimos. Por mandato familiar somos católicos, pero no asistimos a iglesias y eventos religiosos. Lo practicamos a nuestro estilo, sentimos que todo transcurre en nuestro interior y cada uno, lo siente a su manera. Pero cuando lo sentimos y estamos cerca de una iglesia, nos gusta pasar y agradecer sobre todo. Debo reconocer que estos edificios, generan mucha paz cuando uno ingresa y más en estos tiempos. Aunque en otras etapas de mi vida, fui a estos lugares a buscar a dios, pero no se encontraba (como dice la canción). >! [English] Everything sorted, we prepared our mate and went to catch the bus to Monte Grande square. Even though it was raining that day, we managed to take some nice photos while we waited for our princess. The church was closed, but we gave thanks anyway. By family tradition, we are Catholic, but we don't attend church or religious events. We practice it our own way; we feel that everything happens within us, and each of us feels it in our own way. But when we feel it and we are near a church, we like to stop by and give thanks above all else. I must admit that these buildings generate a lot of peace when you enter them, especially in these times. Although in other stages of my life, I went to these places to seek God, but He was not there (as the song says). > > ___ |||| |-|-|-| |||       Bien continuo con la historia de hoy (*a veces me voy por las ramas*). Nada espectacular nuestra salida, pero son de esos ratos que, si uno está atento, terminan siendo inolvidables. Charlando en la plaza, vimos como una camioneta perteneciente al municipio, traía en su baúl un montón de comida, para entregar a personas que viven en la calle y que estaban en la plaza esperando por su nutrición diaria. Me encantó que los hijos puedan ver esa situación, en primera persona, y no desde el celular. Ellos saben que existen familias que viven en las calles, porque en nuestras mesas siempre charlamos sobre eso y sobre ser agradecido por lo que tenemos. Pero esta experiencia me encantó que sucediera. >! [English] Okay, I'll continue with today's story (*sometimes I get sidetracked*). Our outing wasn't anything spectacular, but it was one of those moments that, if you pay attention, end up being unforgettable. While chatting in the square, we saw a municipal truck bringing a load of food to deliver to people living on the streets who were waiting in the square for their daily meal. I loved that the children could see this situation firsthand, rather than on their cell phones. They know that there are families living on the streets, because we always talk about it at our table and about being grateful for what we have. My son Don Juan, his sister Ashley, his brother Genaro, mom, and dad, all laughing as we walked along the sidewalk in Monte Grande. Monte Grande is a town 15 minutes away from Ezeiza, and since the princess works there, we decided to visit her. > > ___ ||| |-|-| ||       Risas, charlas, esa complicidad que se da cuando uno baja el celular y sube la mirada. Un rato simple, pero créanme muy potente. Para ellos un momento entre hermanos, de alegría y disfrute. Para los padres, un momento único e inolvidable. Tenerlos ahí, juntos y disfrutando un momento entre hermanos, es verdaderamente sublime. La vida los va a separar, o no… sinceramente no lo sé. Pero queremos que tengas lindos recuerdos vividos. Digo, que los va a separar, porque tengo hermanos que desde hace años no veo y no es que viven lejos. No se da, no se siente, sinceramente no lo sé. >! [English] Laughter, conversation, that sense of connection that happens when you put down your phone and look up. A simple moment, but believe me, a very powerful one. For them, it's a moment of joy and enjoyment between siblings. For the parents, a unique and unforgettable moment. Having them there, together and enjoying a moment between siblings, is truly sublime. Life will separate them, or maybe not... I honestly don't know. But we want you to have beautiful memories. I say it will separate them because I have siblings I haven't seen in years, and it's not that they live far away. At this stage, which smells like adolescence for the youngest, there is nothing more valuable than sharing moments with them that they can later keep in their memory, like someone who keeps figurines in a collection album.
