Pareciera que estoy en campaña pero créanme que no, a no ser que tenga que hablar de nuestro ecosistema. Pero caminando el barrio, que para aquellos que no lo sepan, se llama Villa Guillermina y no es precisamente lo que en Argentina denominamos Villa. Es un barrio modesto, de casas bajas, muy cerca del aeropuerto internacional de Ezeiza. Donde por mucho tiempo hubo un terreno baldío, de golpe y porrazo como decimos en Argentina, me encuentro con una plaza. Por supuesto, esta situación me lleva a una reflexión. >! [English] It seems like I'm campaigning but believe me not, unless I have to talk about our ecosystem. But walking the neighborhood, which for those who do not know, is called Villa Guillermina and is not exactly what in Argentina we call Villa. It is a modest neighborhood, with low houses, very close to Ezeiza International Airport. Where for a long time there was a vacant lot, suddenly and blow as we say in Argentina, I find a place. Of course, this situation leads me to reflection. > ___  Antes quiero decir, que me encantó cómo quedaron distribuidas todos los accesorios de la plaza y tengo entendido que algunos de los mismos, son realizados en cooperativas que existen en el municipio y que animan a una economía circular. Por ejemplo, los diferentes aparatos para hacer deportes, se construyen en dichas cooperativas a través del reciclaje del plástico en el municipio. También el porta bicicleta de cemento, se realizan en cooperativas. Como verán los sistemas de economía circulares funcionan. Que existe política en el medio y quizás corrupción, no me cabe dudas. Pero como siempre digo, juzgo las acciones. >! [English] Before I want to say, I loved how all the accessories of the square were distributed and I understand that some of them are made in cooperatives that exist in the municipality and that encourage a circular economy. For example, different sports devices are built in these cooperatives through the recycling of plastic in the municipality. The cement bike holder is also made in cooperatives. As you will see, circular economy systems work. That there is politics in the middle and perhaps corruption, I have no doubt. But as I always say, I judge actions. > ___  Pero la reflexión que quería hacer, tiene que ver que la mayoría de los municipios, promulgan y promueven la actividad física como una forma de incorporar a los chicos al deporte y sacarlo del mundo tecnológico, por decirlo de alguna manera. Lo cual me parece genial. Pero como todos sabemos, o la mayoría, no se trata solo de trabajar el físico, sino también nuestro cerebro. Y es por eso que pienso por qué no una biblioteca. Y me puse a pensar, dónde está la biblioteca acá en Ezeiza. Que por cierto existen, pero muy pocas y tienen un horario de apertura y cierre. En algún punto siento que la biblioteca está en extinción, o no se ha acomodado a los avances tecnológicos. >! [English] But the reflection I wanted to make has to do with most municipalities enacting and promoting physical activity as a way to incorporate children into sport and get them out of the technological world, so to speak. Which I think is great. But as we all know, or most, it's not just about working the physical, but also our brain. And that's why I think not a library. And I started thinking, where is the library here in Ezeiza. Which by the way exist, but very few and have an opening and closing hours. At some point I feel like the library is in extinction, or it hasn't accommodated technological advances. > ___  Sabemos que la mayoría de la información está en nuestros celulares y quizás por eso las bibliotecas tienden a extinguirse. Pero soy de los que piensan que los seres humanos somos animales de hábito. Y pensando como podríamos incorporar a los chicos a la lectura, a través de estos espacios públicos, como la plaza, pienso que se podría realizar una parte de la plaza, un espacio para la lectura. Estoy seguro de muchos vecinos que tienen libros para donar y que los chicos puedan disfrutarlo. En días cálidos como se avecinan en Argentina, qué genial sería ir a tomar unos mates con tu familia y de repente compartir un libro al aire libre. >! [English] We know that most of the information is on our phones and maybe that's why libraries tend to go extinct. But I'm one of those who think humans are animals of habit. And thinking about how we could incorporate children into reading, through these public spaces, such as the square, I think that a part of the square could be made, a space for reading. I'm sure many neighbors who have books to donate and that kids can enjoy it. On warm days like those looming in Argentina, how great it would be to go for some mates with your family and suddenly share a book outdoors. > ___  Quizás lo mío sea una utopía, pero no lo veo tan difícil. Porque viendo la reja de una parte de la plaza que tiene candados, pienso que el vandalismo está a la orden del día y quizás una biblioteca pública sea un foco de ataque de los mismos. También creo que a través de cámaras y de grupos en comunidades, se puede proteger estos espacios, a través de los mismos vecinos. También existen personas, que trabajan para el municipio, que tranquilamente podrían cumplir la labor de guardia en estos espacios. >! [English] Maybe mine is a utopia, but I don't see it as difficult. Because seeing the fence of a part of the square that has padlocks, I think vandalism is the order of the day and perhaps a public library is a focus of attack from them. I also believe that through cameras and groups in communities, these spaces can be protected, through the neighbors themselves. There are also people, who work for the municipality, who could quietly serve as a guard in these spaces. > ___  El desarrollo personal a través de la lectura y más aún si arrancamos desde niño, creo que es de vital e igual importancia que realizar actividad física. Me encanta el deporte y soy un promotor del mismo, pero creo que con solo eso, no es suficiente. >! [English] Personal development through reading and even more so if we start as a child, I think it is vital and equally important as physical activity. I love the sport and I'm a promoter of it, but with that alone, it's not enough. > ___  Me encantó como los diferentes aparatos fueron distribuidos en el parque y como las personas, los días de sol van con sus niños a disfrutar un rato y dedicarle tiempo de calidad. >! [English] I loved how the different devices were distributed in the park and how people, on sunny days they go with their children to enjoy for a while and dedicate quality time to it. > ___  Como parte de una comunidad, tenemos que estar al tanto de estas cuestiones y en el caso de que podamos, tenemos que comprometernos para cuidarlo y generar más aún. >!
