 Una travesía de este tipo requiere de varios días. En este caso, más allá del viaje, la aventura duro tres días y cada día con escenarios diferentes y por supuesto experiencias inolvidables. Hoy intentaremos hacer *cumbre*. **Cerro Champaquí - Intento de Cumbre** >! [English] A journey of this type requires several days. Today we will try to make *summit*. **Cerro Champaquí - Summit Attempt**.   Zuni realmente es una guerrera y lo demostró al terminar la primera etapa, donde terminamos todos muy cansados. Lo primero que me dijo fue, alquilaremos las mulas para que nos bajen lo más pesado, pero jamás se le pasó por la cabeza, no intentar hacer cumbre. Situación que sucedió con otras chicas del grupo. >! [English] Zuni really is a warrior and she proved it at the end of the first stage, where we were all very tired. The first thing she said to me was, we will rent the mules to carry the heaviest things down, but it never crossed her mind not to try to reach the summit. The same thing happened with other girls in the group.   Por donde mirábamos, nos maravillábamos. Quizás porque era nuestra primera experiencia trepando, ya que corriendo es otra la canción. Cuando corres, también disfrutas, pero de otra manera. En esta ocasión podías parar y contemplar unos segundos las bellezas naturales y por supuesto también captarlo con tu cámara. >! [English] Everywhere we looked, we were amazed. Maybe because it was our first experience climbing, since running is another song. When you run, you also enjoy it, but in a different way. This time you could stop and contemplate for a few seconds the natural beauties and of course also capture it with your camera.   Algo que nos pidieron nuestros hijos al salir de casa, fueron piedras de los cerros y lo primero que nos dijeron los guías, **lo que es de los cerros, se queda aquí**. Imagínense que todos los visitantes se lleven piedras, plantas y demás, nos quedaríamos sin bellezas naturales y razón no les faltaba. >! [English] Something our children asked for when we left home were stones from the hills and the first thing the guides told us, **what is from the hills, stays here**. Imagine all the visitors taking stones, plants and others with them, we would be left without natural beauties and they were right.   Otra de las situaciones que disfruto en demasía es tomar agua de los arroyos. Siempre tengo el problema de que cuando salgo de casa, las aguas de los diferentes lugares, me caen mal. Pero la de los arroyos en la montaña no. Y lo viví cuando corrimos el Cruce Columbia en el sur de la Argentina, donde tomábamos agua de los deshielos de las montañas. En Córdoba, lo primero que pregunte fue ¿podemos tomar? Por supuesto, me dijo Leo (el guía) y esa respuesta fue sublime. >! [English] Another situation that I enjoy a lot is drinking water from streams. I always have the problem that when I leave home, the waters of the different places are bad for me. But not the water from the mountain streams. And I experienced this when we ran the Columbia Crossing in southern Argentina, where we drank water from the melting mountain streams. In Cordoba, the first thing I asked was, "Can we drink? Of course, Leo (the guide) told me and that answer was sublime.   Gran parte del grupo, en esta segunda etapa, físicamente respondieron muy bien. Nosotros, si bien nos agitábamos, estábamos en perfectas condiciones. Trejo, por ejemplo, tuvo un calambre que por suerte el guía, al ser masajista, se lo saco y quedo perfecto para seguir. En el caso de Óscar (El Whass), con sus 69 años, fue el más difícil de manejar para los guías y el grupo. >! [English] Most of the group, in this second stage, physically responded very well. Although we were shaken, we were in perfect condition. Trejo, for example, had a cramp that luckily the guide, being a masseur, got rid of and he was perfect to continue. In the case of Oscar (El Whass), with his 69 years, he was the most difficult to handle for the guides and the group.   Óscar en el ciclismo es un campeón y sobre todo porque tiene una genética muy particular. Rápida recuperación, capacidad pulmonar y resistencia al dolor. Pero en la montaña, la cosa es diferente. Debes acatar las indicaciones del guía, que te lleva por los caminos acordes. Pero el Whass, con su testarudez, hacía lo que él quería y por supuesto en algún momento los guías se pusieron firmes y ordenaron la cuestión. >! [English] Oscar is a champion in cycling and above all because he has a very particular genetics. Fast recovery, lung capacity and above all, resistance to pain. But in the mountains, things are different. You have to follow the guide's indications, who takes you on the right paths. But the Whass, with his stubbornness, did what he wanted and of course at some point the guides put their foot down and put the matter in order.    Otro factor muy importante fueron los celulares. Los guías se enfocan en hacerte vivir la experiencia con los cerros y la naturaleza en general. No les place cuando alguien va todo el tiempo realizando capturas (como yo). Por supuesto, que sabían que soy creador de contenidos y aceptaron la situación. De igual modo, como lo digo en el video, siempre trate de respetar sus premisas. >! [English] Another very important factor was the cell phones. The guides focus on making you live the experience with the hills and nature in general. They are not pleased when someone goes all the time capturing (like me). Of course, they knew I was a content creator and accepted the situation. Anyway, as I say in the video, I always try to respect their premises.   Llegar a la cumbre fue una de las experiencias más hermosas que tuve junto a Zuni (@zutodoterreno) y todo el equipo. Para muchos fue épica, por todo el dolor, para llegar hasta ahí. En nuestro caso, no lo sentimos tanto. Quizás también porque nos tocaron unos guías maravillosos y por supuesto, el día también acompaño. Con lluvia, supongo que la historia hubiese sido diferente. Todos llorando y disfrutando del momento. Llegar con ese grado de sensibilidad, fue parte de la retórica de los guías en el camino, conjugado con las enseñanzas que te imprime la montaña. Si lo volvería a realizar, por supuesto que sí y ya tenemos varias invitaciones para el futuro. Todo depende de poder solventarlo. Gracias al universo pude subir con mi jersey que orgullosamente lo exhibo. Una experiencia que no acaba aquí, ya que debemos bajar de la montaña hasta el refugio, amanecer y comenzar el descenso, que por cierto en ocasiones es más duro que la subida, puesto que llevamos todo el cansancio encima. [English] Reaching the summit was one of the most beautiful experiences I had with Zuni (@zutodoterreno) and the whole team. For many it was epic, because of all the pain to get there. In our case, we didn't feel it so much. Maybe also because we had some wonderful guides and of course, the day was nice too. With rain, I guess the story would have been different. Everyone crying and enjoying the moment. To arrive with that degree of sensitivity was part of the rhetoric of the guides along the way, combined with the teachings that the mountain imprints on you. If I would do it again, of course I would and we already have several invitations for the future. It all depends on being able to pay for it. Thanks to the universe I was able to climb with my jersey that I proudly exhibit. An experience that doesn't end here, since we have to go down the mountain to the refuge, get up at dawn and start the descent, which by the way is sometimes harder than the ascent, since we carry all the fatigue on top of us.
