Hi food bloggers, today I'm going to share an easy and quick recipe. This dish is my recent favorite. It's made from a plant that grows abundantly in our country: cassava. It has a soft texture with a sweet and savory taste.
Ingredients:
-
1 kg cassava
-
200 grams of brown sugar
-
350 ml of coconut milk
-
salt
-
water
How to make it:
Cassava porridge:

- Peel the cassava thoroughly

- Cut the cassava into small pieces so it's easier to blend

- Blend the cassava until smooth

-
Melt the brown sugar with 200 ml of water and bring to a boil
-
Strain the brown sugar

- Put the pureed cassava into a pan

- Stir until it boils and the mixture thickens

- Add a pinch of salt

- When the texture has thickened, turn off the heat and set aside
Coconut milk sauce:

-
Pour the coconut milk into a pan
-
Add a pinch of salt

- Cook until it boils slightly

Serve the cassava porridge with coconut milk sauce on top, served in a bowl or in a container made from banana leaves like this.
For a better smell, you can add 1 pandan leaf (if available) to the porridge and coconut milk sauce to give it a more fragrant aroma.
