Saludos estimados Otakus de #TheAnimeRealm. Hace poco recordé una estupenda serie que por cosas del destino había olvidado, y al parecer no fui la única que lo hizo. Hoy les hablaré de [Arjuna](https://www.imdb.com/es/title/tt0296324/?ref_=ttmi_ov_i). Una joya de serie que literalmente ha sido olvidada no sólo por los canales de streaming sino también por muchos en la web.

A gem of a series that has literally been forgotten not only by streaming channels but also by many on the web.

Esta serie salió en el 2001 y para mi fue muy especial. Es de las primeras series de animé en mezclar diseños 2D con CGI o imágenes hechas en computadora. Recuerdo que cuando la vi por primera vez esto fue lo que más me sorprendió, pero su trama ecologista fue lo que me atrapó.

This series came out in 2001 and was very special to me. It's one of the first anime series to combine 2D designs with CGI, or computer-generated images. I remember that when I first saw it, this was what surprised me most, but its environmentalist plot was what captivated me.
Sin embargo la había olvidado por completo y luego de ver la película de Final Fantasy: El Espíritu en Nosotros, me vino a la mente la trama de la serie y sus acontecimientos pero olvidé totalmente el nombre de la misma y esto me traía mal porque la verdad que me gustó bastante cuando la vi por primera vez.
However, I had completely forgotten about it and after watching the Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within Us movie, the plot of the series and its events came to mind but I completely forgot the name of it and this made me feel bad because the truth is that I liked it quite a lot when I saw it for the first time.
Incluso la busqué por internet, con las referencias que tenía en mi cabeza y nada que daba con el nombre. Fue como buscar una aguja en un pajar. Así que me vi obligada a consultar con un amigo que es más Otaku que yo y enseguida me dijo el nombre y yo apenas lo leí sabía que se trataba de aquella olvidada serie.
I even looked it up online, using the references I had in my head, and nothing matched the name. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack. So I was forced to consult with a friend who's more of an otaku than I am, and he immediately told me the name. As soon as I read it, I knew it was that forgotten series.
Y bueno, la serie en sí trata como dije hace un momento de un punto de vista ecologista bastante extremista donde se lleva la contaminación ambiental a algo catastófrico que en corto tiempo pasará factura al planeta aniquilando por completo la humanidad para recuperarse.
And well, the series itself deals, as I said a moment ago, with a rather extreme environmentalist point of view where environmental pollution is taken to something catastrophic that will soon take its toll on the planet, completely annihilating humanity from recovering.
Juna, la protagonista con el símbolo en la frente, al estar al borde de la muerte se le es otorgada la oportunidad de ser el Avatar del Tiempo para luchar contra Raaja que no es más que una serie de espíritus en forma de gusanos que sólo ella puede ver y que vienen causando catástrofes en la civilización, llevando al caos.
Juna, the protagonist with the symbol on her forehead, being on the verge of death, is granted the opportunity to be the Avatar of Time to fight against Raaja, who is nothing more than a series of worm-like spirits that only she can see and that have been causing catastrophes in civilization, leading to chaos.
Pero a medida que avanza la serie te vas dando cuenta de que Raaja no es tan malo y al final no es el enemigo. El enemigo aquí viene a ser el hombre que no respeta la naturaleza y le causa daño irreversible a la misma sin importarle nada más que su propia comodidad o beneficios.
But as the series progresses, you realize that Raaja isn't so bad, and ultimately isn't the enemy. The enemy here is the man who disrespects nature and causes irreversible damage to it, caring nothing but his own comfort or profit.
Por otro lado, la serie fue criticada por algunos usuarios al tocar temas sensibles como la explotación animal o el aborto. Yo, por mi parte, cuando al vi por primera vez, recuerdo que eso no me importó pero si me impresionó varias veces por los temas que trataba y el arte con el que lo mostraba.
On the other hand, the series was criticized by some users for touching on sensitive topics such as animal exploitation and abortion. For my part, when I first saw it, I remember not caring, but I was impressed several times by the themes it covered and the artistry with which it portrayed them.
Para mi la serie resultó ser única, diferente y especial. Ver una chica luchar para salvar al mundo y más aún a la Madre Tierra, fue lo que más me gustaba ver y no quería perderme ningún capítulo. Y lo único que te advierto que no es una serie cargada de acción ni de peleas, es más bien una serie para reflexionar y apreciar al mundo con otros ojos.
For me, the series was unique, different, and special. Watching a girl fight to save the world, and even more so, Mother Earth, was my favorite thing to watch, and I didn't want to miss a single episode. And the only thing I should warn you about is that it's not a series full of action or fights; rather, it's a series to reflect on and appreciate the world through different eyes.
Así que esta serie me vi por primera vez cuando la pasaron en un canal llamado **Locomotion**. Allí pasaban unas cuantas series de animé y fue que descubrí el mundo del Japón animado para quedarme de manera permanente en él.
So, I first watched this series when it aired on a channel called **Locomotion**. They aired a few anime series there, and that's when I discovered the world of Japanese animation, and I became a permanent fixture there.
Y aunque los efectos computarizados no eran de mi agrado en ese entonces, la serie si me gustó bastante y tanto he querido volver a verla que la busqué en todos los canales de Streaming a los que tengo acceso y no di con ella.
And although the computer effects weren't to my liking at the time, I did like the series quite a bit and wanted to watch it again so much that I searched for it on every streaming channel I have access to and couldn't find it.
Pero si la encontré por Youtube y por Facebook. Así que si deseas verla te recomiendo buscar por allí. Y tan poca popularidad tiene en estos días que hasta las fotos para armarles este post se me hicieron complicadas conseguirlas. Pero aún así lo armé y de mi parte se las recomiendo con todas sus 5 estrellas.
But I did find it on YouTube and Facebook. So if you want to see it, I recommend searching there. And it's so unpopular these days that even the photos to put together this post were difficult for me to find. But I still put it together, and I fully recommend it with five stars.
