[🇵🇱] Historia Super Vinyla!
Jakiś czas temu czytałem obszerny artykuł Teda Gioii na temat super winyla. Naprawdę mnie zainspirował ten temat. Od jego publikacji minęło już trochę czasu, ale ja – wraz z moim wspólnikiem w POLVINYL – nie zapomnieliśmy tych cennych uwag.
Już za miesiąc światło dzienne ujrzy nasz pierwszy, historyczny SUPER VINYL – połączenie płyty winylowej z blockchainem za pomocą taga NFC.
Zanim jednak do tego doszliśmy, zrobiliśmy coś, co nazwaliśmy cyfrowym winylem.
To zapis dźwięku bezpośrednio z matrycy miedzianej, przy użyciu ultra hi-endowego ramienia i igły, podłączonych do sprzętu klasy... kosmicznej 😄
Nie jestem stuprocentowym audiofilem, ale potrafię docenić dobre brzmienie, świetną produkcję i doskonale przygotowane matryce.

Takie właśnie matryce dla naszego cyfrowego winyla przygotował legendarny Günter Pauler w swoim studiu Pauler Acoustics. Następnie pomógł nam je zdigitalizować.
Nasz pierwszy cyfrowy winyl zawierał muzykę zespołu DagaDana – album Meridian 68. Kapitalne połączenie jazzu, world music i elektroniki. Sprawdźcie sami!

Cyfrowy winyl może być częścią Super Vinyla – ale nie musi.
To, czym może stać się Super Vinyl, zależy tylko od wyobraźni wydawców i artystów.
Dokąd może nas zaprowadzić zeskanowany tag NFC? Może do tajnego pokoju na Discordzie, albo do dedykowanego FTP z dynamicznie zmieniającą się zawartością do pobrania?
A może dane w tagu NFC mogą być dekodowane przez sam gramofon... albo docisk płyty?
Możliwości wciąż badamy i sprawdzamy, jak to wszystko może zagrać.
Na razie tradycyjne środowiska muzyczne są zbyt konserwatywne na takie innowacje, a winyl często pozostaje poza zasięgiem (a może i poza zainteresowaniami) najmłodszych twórców.
Mimo to – idziemy dalej tą drogą i nie przestaniemy.

[🇬🇧] The Story of the Super Vinyl!
Some time ago, I read an extensive article by Ted Gioia about super vinyl. The topic truly inspired me. A lot of time has passed since the article was published, but my business partner at POLVINYL and I haven’t forgotten those valuable insights.
In just a month, our first-ever, historic SUPER VINYL will see the light of day – a fusion of vinyl record and blockchain, connected via an NFC tag.
But before we got to that point, we created something we called a digital vinyl.

It’s the sound captured directly from a copper master, using an ultra high-end tonearm and stylus, plugged into gear that’s… pretty much space-grade 😄
I’m not a 100% audiophile, but I can truly appreciate great sound, masterful production, and expertly prepared masters.

Those very masters for our digital vinyl were prepared by the legendary Günter Pauler in his Pauler Acoustics studio. He also helped us digitize them.
Our first digital vinyl featured music by the band DagaDana – the Meridian 68 album. A brilliant mix of jazz, world music, and electronica. Check it out!

Digital vinyl can be a part of Super Vinyl – but it doesn’t have to be.
What Super Vinyl can become depends entirely on the imagination of labels and artists.
Where can a scanned NFC tag take us? To a secret Discord room, or a dedicated FTP server with ever-changing downloadable content?
Could the information in the NFC tag be decoded by the turntable itself – or by the record weight?
We’re still exploring the possibilities and testing how it all fits together.
So far, traditional music circles seem too conservative for such innovations. Vinyl is often out of reach – or interest – for the youngest creators.
Still, we’re moving forward with this vision. And we’re not stopping.
