A cold Spring season sunset.

It is said that we can have all four seasons here in one day... 204.jpg

...and today was such a day. Totally clouded over after a rainstorm last night, and an icy wind was blowing for the whole day. So, it was back into our warm winter clothes. But lo and behold, during the later afternoon, the same cold wind started to disperse the clouds, and the sun broke through the cloud gaps to dry the water on the roads. I had an inkling that a great sunset was in the offing, and we travelled to a high spot to see if I was right.

One can never expect how a day will turn out to be here, as we are having some severe weather changes due to what they call global warming. But I remember that at the end of last winter, it was also very topsy turvy weather-wise. I think that the weather only started to settle down almost at the end of the spring season. On a cold and cloudy day, like this, the birds also don't know what to expect and they even appear here in the front garden out of normal times.

So, you tell me if my idea about the sunset was correct.

A pair of Yellow-billed ducks came flying over. 220.JPG

One of the ducks made a U-turn to fly into the picture again, I think he wants to be a movie star:) 223.JPG

Then split sunrays appeared. 224.JPG

Finally, the sun started to drop out of the clouds. 234.JPG

Bright and warm before it dropped behind the mountain. 240.JPG

And that's it, as it was time for us to return. I also took pictures of another nice sunset last week that I will show you sometime, but for now I had to post this one straight from my camera. A plan would be for us to rent a room in one of the high rise buildings on the seashore for a week in summer, as I have always wanted to get the sun and the moon at different times dropping into the ocean.

Just when we think we are getting used to the weather then things change, and even the farmers complain about this. The world is in a troubled state, what with all of the nuclear bombing threats, and the violence all over that the media keeps shoving down our throats every day. It seems to me that mankind is determined to destroy itself, and this time round there can be no winners. But we know that miracles still happen, and all of the beauty in nature seems to confirm this. Such is life.

I hope that you liked the pictures and the story.
