I had to find the source...

...but I had an idea about the origin of the misty sky that I will show you. 016.jpg

In the post, you will see how the mist covered the sky for the whole day.

We have these misty days on occasion, and it makes photography very difficult, even as I had my camera on the low light setting. The tag picture, early morning, told me that it was going to be a misty day. I have seen it before, but not as dense as this day. Nature's algorithm holds many secrets that are waiting to be uncovered, and I bet that there are a thousand lessons for mankind to be found. Maybe the scientists have already started to study the algorithms.

In my mind, I only enjoy the views and the simple things that they teach me. The sun had no chance to shine today, even when the weather prediction was for a 20C high day. However, it felt much more like 17-18C, and thankfully the wind was active up high but not down below, so we rather had a placid day.

This was the sky when we left in the late afternoon. 019.JPG

And now you will see below how the mist rose up from the Atlantic Ocean, and yes, my suspicion about the source of the mist was correct. 043.JPG

Just have a look at that band of solid mist across the mountains rising up from the sea. 048.JPG

And the misty band ran right around the entire front of the bay. 039.JPG

I was hoping to get a sunset, but no such luck, as you will see below.

Faint colors are all that I could get, but still beautiful. 045.JPG

Finally, the scene started to fade, and it was time to go. 050.JPG

What a day, and we hope that tomorrow mister sunshine will appear in a blue sky, it is spring after all. There is talk about some late rain, and we really hope that it will come true, especially in the dam areas. But one never knows, as we live in the Cape of Storms. Quite often, a freak day appears and then we all have to dive for cover, especially when one of those storm winds are ripping things apart down here.

Mankind has always had to rely on nature as no nature will result in no mankind, and so it is a give and take affair. Isn't life also like that? A give and take affair, but sadly there are so many takers only, and the major headache is the demented search for profits. I think here about the millions of poor children across the world that have to go to bed hungry every night, but such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
