That plane was around again...

...and I don't know if advertising works in dark conditions. 022.jpg

I have posted the plane towing a banner before, and this time I was happy to see it again. Now I have no idea how much the banner advertising costs, but it must be a packet, and I would rather do the adverting on a clear day. In any case, it made a great subject to post, as it's out of the ordinary. My eyes are always on the sky in between taking shots of things on the land, and it really works for me.

So here is a challenge for all of you. Look more regularly at the sky, and I am sure that you will also get some lovely views at times. Yes, I know it takes patience, but the rewards are sometimes great for photography. Nature also holds many surprises that are just waiting to be revealed to one's camera. Occasionally, I would post shots of buildings, but not too many as I am more of a nature fan.

I will also show you a sleeping Hadeda Ibis (Bostrychia hagerdash). 054.JPG

But let's see the plane first, and I was focussed on the blue hole in the clouds. Trying to get a sunray. 020.JPG

The plane decided to give me some sunray shots. 024.JPG

And then it was gone. 025.JPG

A fist time for me to see this below. The Hadeda sat sleeping in our neighbor's garden.

It was about 3 meters away from me, and the security fencing between our houses made things a bit difficult to get the shots. 052.JPG

It must have felt me watching it, and so it departed. 051.JPG

The hadeda must have been tired from all of its digging for worms, or it was hiding from its mate, because this has never happened before. At first, we thought that it might be sick or injured, but thankfully when it took off, we could see that it was still in fine fettle. So, I have two different views for you here in this post, and I know that in the future I will continue to get different views.

As it is now spring here, we are looking forward to warmer days and thankfully it has already started as today we had a temp of 19C. Nothing like the heat of the African Summer, as that can escalate into the 40-50Cs. But we are comfortable with anything below 25C. Every winter it feels like a colder one than the one before, but the meteorologists say that this year's temperatures are in fact 2 degrees hotter. Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
