This temple also known as the temple of bells is the most famous and prominent temple of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. This is a temple of Golu Devta a daity who is famous for fulfilling the wishes of the people who visit here.
We were just now at the entrance of this temple, and it wasn’t very much crowded because of the rain. The misty atmosphere was adding a unique vibe to the overall experience, and we had to climb up all the stairs to get to the main temple campus.
On the very starting point of this temple, all we saw were a lot of bells. They were bells all around us and it is believed that whenever a wish is being made a bell is offered here in this temple and whenever that wishes fulfilled a bigger well is hanged there because of that cycle only the temple is full of bells.
Not only bells, people also write letters here stating their wishes and specifically this temple is famous for fulfilling those wishes in which there had been a series of unkind or unlawful acts.
This temple is known for providing justice to the biggest since, and also fulfilling the wishes of the people who visit here. You can also ring all the bells when you are getting up to the temple. There are bigger bells on the higher regions of the staircase, which you can ring while you get up.
On the other hand, there are thousands of small bells all around the temple campus as you can see in the photograph as well. These bells are countless in quantity.
We kept on playing all the bells until we reached to the top. We were very excited to get inside of the temple and see what it feels like to get inside of this mesmerising Temple. We were hearing a lot of bells ringing from a distance as we moved up.
There were about hundred to 150 stairs up to the main temple from the main road. The Misty atmosphere was adding a very dramatic vibe to the overall experience of visiting this famous and prominent temples of this area.
This is a kind of experience. I will always remember in my life and this was just the entrance of this temple. In the next blog. I will be showing you guys how it was from inside. I was not able to capture it from a very detailed perspective because of all the restrictions and out of respect also, but I tried to capture it mostly, and I will show that to you guys in the next blog.
Thank you all for passing by. That’s it for today.
Peace ☮️
