In this blog, I’m gonna tell you guys about my adventure of roaming around in the beautiful city of Rishikesh with my friends on a weekend getaway trip that we planned abruptly. If you want to know more about this trip, you can see my last blogs as well.
So after living in the most beautiful campsite of Rishikesh for a day, the next day we decided to roam around the town and explore the town to the fullest. We didn’t want to go to the tourist destinations at first, so we chose to just drive around and find something peaceful.
Contrary to peaceful to our surprise, there was a fresh landslide on the way to Rishikesh from our campsite in the photographs below. You can see that the road was quite dangerous because of the rain and there were fresh cases of landslides occur occurring every day on the highway.
It was quite dangerous to see, and we decided to move out of this area as soon as possible and go to Rishikesh town, so we looked around, and when we felt safe, we moved our car and cross the dangerous area to reach the city.
And here we entered the city of Rishikesh. We didn’t go to the city straight up, but we decided to go a little off track and explore the forest of the Rishikesh, for which it was famous.
Because of these forest and the vibe of Rishikesh, many famous personalities and people have lived here and are still coming here to find the truth and also to find themselves.
One such case was the Beatles. They arrived here in the pinnacle of their careers when they were kind of about to split up so this place hold a special place in the history of Music as well.
There were many songs that be released after their visit to India, and this explains the explanation of this place being so valuable for them so that they even built Ashram dedicated to them here.
We first decided to get to the Ashram as soon as possible so that we could explore the nearby area. This Ashram was now under some organisation, so we decided to get there and explore the area around it so that we could also get the vibe of Beatles were after.
We parked our car at a safe spot near the Ashram, and we headed straight towards the river so that we could explore on foot. The beautiful areas around the city.
We are very fortunate and lucky, because as soon as we got out of the car, we spotted some peacocks. They were enjoying themselves and were celebrating the rain.
Stayed there for a while, and thought why Beatles chose this place to make their stay throughout the India, and we got the vibe while we were there for only a little time.
It was really peaceful out here, and the sound of river was like a music to years. The air was very fresh and the saluting Ness of this place added to the overall vibe. This place was at a perfect distance from the city and yet was perfectly secluded from the loud noises and sounds of the city. That’s why the Beatles must have chosen it.
