Hello,
The Gökdere neighborhood is one of the green spaces I frequently visit on weekends to escape the city. It's one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I've ever visited to experience and discover the awe-inspiring, magical beauty of nature and all the blessings it offers. Long ago, this place was known as a village within the Konyaaltı district of Antalya. As the settlement area expanded, it gained neighborhood status. But it hasn't lost any of its natural beauty and greenery.
After a busy week, I'll remember the times I spent walking, listening to the magnificent symphony of birds in the trees, and breathing in the air accompanied by mountain ranges that stretched to the sky. I miss it. Every time I come here, I lean my back against a large, lushly leafed tree, waiting for the wind to caress my body. Then, I take off everything I'm wearing and start walking barefoot on the grass, enjoying it.
I want to experience and experience all the beauty of my inestimable, perhaps innate, love for nature in this region. All nature lovers, like me, strive to feel these same desires in this society. Because modern, developing society and urban lifestyles force us to constantly work indoors.
One of the reasons I came here is because The Beaver Cafe is located here. Could an Americano this good be this good from a cafe nestled among the greenery on the side of a paved road? Even the aroma of the hot coffee we sipped amidst the greenery was different. The restaurant's decor, seating arrangement, chairs, and unique concept catch my eye. Probably because it's closer to nature. Of course, I always bring my daughter to this cafe.
There's also a waterfall nearby. It's called Gökdere Waterfall. In late spring, with the melting snow, the water flows quite lushly. These days, it flows slowly, filtering through large boulders and lush greenery. The waterfall is surrounded by trees that defy the past. Not many people come here. When I arrived, one person was exploring like me and taking pictures.
I was actually considering going into the water, but I decided against it. I just let my feet wander around in the water. Then we started walking towards the point where the water came from. We walked through the gently sloping, challenging passages between the large boulders, breathing in the fresh air. Occasionally, we stood on the boulders and posed for poses. We even witnessed some of the boulders with interesting carvings. As we continued, we even saw ancient stones dating back to the past, amidst the hills, mountains, and trees to the left and right.

What gave us the most peace was the fresh air we breathed and the wonderful green scent of nature. On our way back, we followed the water's paths and tried to find new places to sit and rest, thinking we might come back again. We even came across beehives in a roadside garden.
One Our weekend was spent exploring nature again, walking peacefully. Although it was difficult to leave behind the lush green grass, colorful flowers, and massive trees that cast their shadows, let them remember that we had made a promise to return.
