Where you are is more than just a view; it is the energy that feeds your mood, way of thinking, and success. I am a forex trader and an entrepreneur, and by my journey, I have come to understand that your inner circle can either give you the power of an endless run or slow down your energy to such an extent that you feel downdraft and that you are stuck in neutral.
In the swiftly moving worlds of trading and business, where the ability to make snap decisions and maintain an unyielding focus are part of the norm, it is not at all optional to have an atmosphere filled with the kind of people that can uplift you and share the same goals as you, it is rather a must have for one to be successful. Forex trading is a game where you have to carefully watch every pip, and every second of indecision can cost you dearly. This extends to your environment as well. Stick to people filled with doubt and negative energy, and you will become like a bank in a stormy market that loses value quickly. Have I not experienced those times? I was on my path to trading greatness and still I allowed negativity to come in unnoticed into my circle. Co workers who constantly downplayed my approach, friends that weren’t supportive of the road less traveled, and family members who were not able to understand the hustle and bustle life revolving around me. Doubts from their side were not just agitators; they were weights that took away my concentration and fullness of belief. My trades and businesses took a plunge and I was succumbing to their doubt pressure.
Afterwards, I transformed. I started searching for the company of ambitious people traders who cut through the noise to do their technical analysis, entrepreneurs who are always looking at the bright side when problems arise, and coaches who kept stretching my boundaries and encouraged me to think beyond ignoring. Not only were they ready to listen but they also had a great deal of energy. All of the things that made trading and business dull were gone because of their positive energy. Suddenly, you are no longer alone during a long night of chart analysis, your business ideas are more convincing, and even your ambitions are supplemented.
One's environment shall not merely uplift but it also propels your momentum like winning small trades turning into big and unstoppable progress.
Picture your environment as a trading portfolio. You are advised to diversify in forex to minimize the risk, but you are also free to cut losses early to protect your capital. The same shall be true with people in your life. Place yourself among those who are good for you in terms of being inspiring, challenging, and supporting your vision people who trade in ideas, not gossip. They are the most valuable assets in your life. They are the very ones to whom you are going to grab a cup of coffee and discuss your next business idea, exchange the latest information on market trends, and when you are doubting your trading tactic, they are going to encourage you to refine it. Their being is similar to the characteristics of a bullish trend smooth, encouraging, and filled with promise. Conversely, the impact of toxic situations may be compared to a losing trade you keep holding on to for too long.
They consume all your mental energy, cloud your decision making, and drain your motivation. I had a partner with whom I once started a business, but he was always so focused on what might go wrong that he barely ever saw the bright side of things. I was at my wits' end to constantly have every project I proposed to be met with a "but what if" response. Not only was this tiring, it was also very frustrating. In trading, if you hesitate, you might miss the breakout; in business, it can be your lost time of glory. Disconnecting from that partner was similar to shutting a bad deal. At first, it was hard, but it gave me back the energy to continue with the rest of the opportunities with clear vision and confidence.
Creating a business or becoming a forex professional is not a single person’s sphere at all. You will need a team mentors, friends, competitors who will never let you stay where you are without pushing you to go up to the next level. After that, I started going to the trades meet up and joining the entrepreneurs online communities, and there I found my tribe. These are the people who know the terminology as well as I do: risk management, scalability, leverage not only markets but in life too. They were not only the ones who raised my spirits; they also broadened my horizon.
Just one talk with the fellow trader about the use of the algorithm in trading that was enough to light the fire of the idea of a tech startup that I am now growing. This is the effect of the environment it’s not just energy; it’s the ignition for innovation. Therefore, carry out a check up of your circle the same way you would check up your trades. Whom do you call your support system? Are they giving you positive energy or are they draining it?
Be unrelenting in your energy protecting tactics. Surround yourself with those who are not afraid to challenge you, who cheer for you, and who definitely are not afraid to tell you off if you are not putting in enough effort. In business and trading, your environment determines where you are headed. Be surrounded with the people that take you to the next level, and don’t be surprised to see your momentum going ever more unstoppable.
