Hello everyone! I’m Rod Paolo Pumar, and this is my introduction blog for the Hive. I am a first year BS- Hospitality Management student, Nature explorer, and a part time worker of a farm. I like doing nature travel and other hobbies that potentially make people interested so this could be my opportunity to share about my life, while improving my writing skills. In this blog, you’ll get to know a lot about me, what are my interest and hobbies like exploring through remote areas around Cebu, farming, also a little bit of scenery photographs and other pleasant things that you may be curios about. I’ll be sharing my likes and hobbies, and I’m hoping you will enjoy.
For my interest I really do love exploring through nature like creaks and springs that are untouched by industrial changes and I also do love the art of farming, I also love reading Japanese comic called “Mangas” and Korean “Webtoons”. My taste on shows would be cartoons like the writer and animator Alex Hirch that wrote Gravity Falls, Owl House, and Rick and Morty and other shows that drives on mystery and the amount of comedic bits that the shows can offer. Sometimes I work on small businesses that help me to finance my studies and also to make me independent. I love to cook and try to improve my skills in the culinary world that one day it’ll help me greatly in my field. Back when I was in my senior days in high school I loved helping around at school every time if I had some free time would help around the school with fixing electrical appliances because it was a part of my strand back then so it was a big help for me and assisting teachers during events with photography documentaries, and eventually I got the opportunity to be a part of the supreme student guidance it was fun and it helped me a lot to nurture my leadership skills and i got awarded with achievements for my efforts.
For my hobbies I also do love farming and the feeling when you started from just a patch of land to something that you would appreciate for your hard work. It is really rewarding when you dedicate your time and effort to something that at first you thought it was impossible to accomplish, to be rewarded with the fruit of your labor. Even if I’m still a newbie farmer it doesn’t mean you can just give up. there are still a lot more that you can learn from and improve your craft, Have notes about the progress that you made and the tricks and tips that you’ve gathered and learned from experienced farmers. Its all about trial and error if something doesn’t fit well you can try again until you achieve from you hard work. From nowhere to somewhere, so never give up on your ambitions even you feel all is lost so remember that. I’ve been working a lot on myself, not only to improve my confidence but also my mental state. I’ve learned a lot from different people mostly elderly people, I learned a lot about life how they regretted the stuff they did and the things that they ignored. They given me advice about not take life for granted and to appreciate the small things life, especially to treat everyone with equal respect and not make enemies because life is short and why not enjoy the things in life has to offer. It given me a better perspective to about my life and to work hard for me to achieve something that may people remember who I was a person.
My reason for joining Hive is to share my journey and experience. I want to share about my travels and my wisdom that I gain to share it to people that are interested and also to share good spots around Cebu to hang out or go travel and some advice that potentially give motivation to people for them to reach their goals because everyone has different goals in life. Exploring is one of my best ways to relieve stress when having a rough week from work or school in general and to appreciate the little things that life can offer to us, I’m deeply connected with nature the natural and beautiful scenery. Who doesn’t love the sunrise and sunsets when you’re on your way home? Sharing Locations that are not well known and could potentially be a sweet spot for taking photos. So my overall reason for joining Hive would be sharing to people about Nature.
I discovered Hive from friends @Shannjevie and @Yannarose, Hive peaked my interest So I joined the orientation and find i interesting. The orientation was led by ma’am @jeannmazing, she let us understand everything clearly and broadly on what Hive is. I want to inspire others with my Journey, so many they could open new doors for new things. When i discovered Hive, I thought it would be the same as other social media platforms, but i stand corrected Hive is way more than a platform. Hive is where you can express your hobbies and write blogs about your daily life. No negative comments, just positive feed backs from people. Hive could be a safe place where I can express myself through writing, reminiscing my own experiences, and maybe some people out there will appreciate my work.
