So the Magic Newton peeps have been very busy. Since I last published a post about the project there have been some serious updates. One of the big ones is their announcement that there is a forthcoming native token launch and the token is going to be called NEWT. No further details released about the token yet, but it is encouraging to see the Newton dev team make significant progress with the project.
Perhaps even more significantly is the creation of their new wallet agents features which is now active. Again these are small steps but hugely significant. There is still so much more to be released and we do not yet know what the full picture will be with Newton. It is all being very deliberately kept under wraps.
I have tested the new wallet out for size and I can not believe how it handles the speed of transactions - they are super fast. Let me give you an example. As at the current time the Newton wallet is live on the Ethereum Base network. So using my Coinbase app wallet I decided to send $10 of USDC to my Newton wallet and the funds arrived in under one minute - I shit you not. Now that's fast! I have never had a crypto transaction process that fast.
To test the wallet further I then processed a send transaction, this time sending a small amount of Ethereum to another crypto wallet address, that transaction completed in just under 4 minutes. This Newton wallet is powerful.
They have also just introduced the ability to set up agents which is a key element of the Newton project. It is heavily interconnected with AI. One of those agents currently active is in relation to recurring buys, set one up as I have done and you receive an additional 500 Ethereal Credits.
We are now starting to get a small flavour of the Newton experience. At this stage of the game we are making very tiny steps but in those steps already something very impressive is being developed, particularly impressive are wallet functionality and transaction processing times.
