Rosneft and Lukoil

US president Donald Trump has put up a boycott against the two biggest Russian oil companies. Rosneft is a state owned oil company and Lukoil is the biggest private oil company of Russia.

American companies can’t trade anymore with any of these companies. Immediately the oil price shot up. Brent oil went up with 6 percent and WTI oil with 5,5 percent.

This means we can expect higher oil, gas and electricity prices in the coming months. It almost looks like it is kind of planned…
