My last dance as a Senior Scout : Camp Rica

A pleasant day hive world! It's @penflecto here, How was your day? Hope y'all doing great, in this blog I will share with you an experience that I considered as iconic. If you are bored then let me entertain you once again like what I did in my previous blog. This blog can possibly make you happy or maybe not but anyway, fasten your seatbelts as we are about to go on an adventure as a scout.  **Day 1** Last Friday noon, January 11,2024, our school (Ilihan Integrated School) organized a program as an opening ceremony of the boyscout of the Philippines which ended well.  After the opening ceremony we then headed to a specific classroom that we will be staying for one night since our tent wasn't build yet due to a really bad weather and our unit leader assigned some of us to cooked for our dinner then after a couple of minutes passed we then enjoyed eating our dinner then hangout for a moment then afterward we sleep, unfortunately I wasn't able to capture a lot of photos because my phone is out of battery percent.     **Day 2** It is the second day of my senior scout journey and a day always starts on a delicious breakfast, we ate sardines mixed with egg and a couple of tasty dried fish and we ate it in a **bodul fight** way, I know some of you are confused and has no idea about the **bodul fight** eating so I will give a little explanation about this way of eating in order for you to have a little knowledge about my country(Philippines).  **It's trivia time** A **bodul fight** also known as **bodul-bodul** is a traditional method of eating in the Philippines where a banana leaf is heated and place on the top of the table or even on the floor and serves as a plate for everyone, when eating like this most of us only use our bare hands. What I like about being a scout is that when it comes to eating no one is allowed to request what specific type of food they want to eat, everything that is being serve in the table should be eaten or else you'll find yourself sitting alone starving, some of the the scouts called it strict while I called it **discipline**, in simple terms when it comes to food a scout should not be picky.  Well, I forgot to tell you about the details of our patrol, we are the **chameleon patrol** and I am the patrol leader. After eating our breakfast it is time to showcase our knowledge about being a scout.    **Showcasing our knowledge and talent as a boyscout** Chameleon patrol! Attention!!! Wow, it really feels great to be a commander on a scout unit, it is a really great opportunity to lead a group especially it is my last year as a boyscout, what a pleasure.        As a patrol commander, I forbid my fellow scouts to do anything stupid since we are about to compete to the other patrols and will be doing a few drills, we executed marching, we memorized the scout law, scout oath, scout motto, and scout slogan, fortunately I and my fellow scouts successfully did it in unison and surpassed the first checkpoint as a boyscout. After we successfully surpass the first trial we then took a rest, after resting for a couple of hours our unit leader announced to practice a fancy drill to be presented on the same date.   **Campfire time** After all patrol units undergo a checkpoint in the morning we are gathered in the night to present our fancy drills.     **Light it up** Well, the firewoods are finally heated and a red flames emmerged, the program begins and the school principal and the unit leaders calmly started the program, they mentioned every patrols name to present their fancy drills including our unit. I really love how the program was well organized, the campfire presentation started well, and ended successfully, I am really amazed on what I have witnessed, the boyscouts really did their best and presented their fancy drills with pure heart.
