Hello needlework

Season greetings to you all, how are you all doing today, i hope everything goes well with you all, nice to meet you all today and i will love to use this opportunity to share with you all on the step by step process of how i cut and sew rhis beautiful butterfly free dress for my new client.

There something that I'm trying to discover in this sewing work, before you have a permanent customer you need to pass through some test from them, this my new client came to our compound once looking for one of our tenant to buy material from her because she started selling material so she heard my sewing machine noises so she stopped by asking if i sew for an outsider too i said yes so she promised to give me job for testing of i can sew for her, i agreed with her so she came with the fabric last week which was a very busy week for me and i was trying to sew my dedication clothes which i was so disappointed by my friend, i didn't have any other choice than to collect the fabric because i agreed to it, she asked me ro sew a free butterfly short dress for her, i was so excited because it just a simple task for me and it will not take much of my time, so i have to dedicate my time to make it very need, so i collected the fabric and we agreed on the amount that she will pay, then i started the cutting process after finishing with some difficult part of my clothes and she needed to use it the next day morning.

The cutting process

So i folded the fabric by two because the fabric was not enough to cut the back and the front together so i have to cut them separately, i started with the back side first, so i took the full length and the shoulder length added some inches for her normal sleeves length and the body size, then i cut it out.

I then finished cutting the back side, so i folded tue fabric again by two and i placed the back side on it, i then marked down 1 inch for the front zipper allowance because she's a breastfeeding mother so she will be able to breastfeed her child, after that i draft out the v neck line and then i cut it out.

After finishing with the cutting i placed the front front and the back side of the dress on the facing lining and cut them out, the i wwnt and turned them properly and put a short zip at the front side.

After turning the both side neck i joined the front and the back shoulders together and i joined the body to her body measurement and i bend the hem properly.

So here is the outcome

The outcome is nice, i was so excited for not disappointing her and she was excited too that it fit her much and she promised to make me jer customer and she confessed that she was tempting me and i did great, i did great because i sew it over night to make sur that i don't disappoint her.

Thank you so much giys for reading through my post.
