A few days ago the guys and I were in the HiveGC discord channel voice, listening to music and talking nonsense. It was 2am, we were talking about everything a bit, nostalgic stuff, I still don't know why the following occurred to me:

The funny thing is that the guys didn't hesitate to follow me and open HABBO. The first thing we did was to try to find our old accounts, but the game seemed to be renewed, I think all the previous and all the progress you got several years ago, totally ceased to exist. Anyway, we started from 0 again, in this fun world.

After we were all able to log in, we decided to go visit one of the rooms that had the most people at the time to see if the game was still alive, and indeed it was. I know it's silly, probably none of you would play HABBO again, but we did and honestly we had a pretty nice night, we played until dawn. @Oldfool, @brataka and myself. Later @therealflaws logged into voice from his mobile and played with us from there. The 4 of us goofed around, believe me, we had a lot of fun.

I feel like the game did change a ton, but it still retains its little essence. Although now it seems you can get experience and level up, before I think you could only level up badges(achievements) that you got by joining some new organization or spending time playing, decorating, etc. There are rooms made only and only for leveling up being totally AFK, you can even buy your own NFT from HABBO and pay with Metamask, I thought the "HABBO was the first NFT game" was a joke, I think they took it seriously.

Do you remember the MSN Messenger era? Back then I made real relationships on Habbo. With my old webcam I got to meet a lot of Habbo players, I still remember their faces. I also had girlfriends, believe me, they were not fake profiles, everything was real, we had long conversations through the webcam.
Planning for future business, amazing. We got tactical that night.
I had about 5 girlfriends - platonic loves, 2 Argentinian and 3 Chilean. Those were epic moments. I also met a whole family that played Habbo, they lived in a kind of Gaming House and when they placed the webcam they all greeted at the same time, it was crazy, I think Habbo was a complete social network.

I admit that I was lucky to meet good people, but I'm sure that this blindly interacting with people had its negative point too, something like Catfishing. Anyway, this post does not seek to focus on the bad of interacting with other users through the Web, my experience in Habbo was amazing, even a few days ago, being a 24 year old adult, I had fun with my friends doing stupid things.

Debería de tener un post ya subido, pero debido a los problemas que 3speak ha estado presentando el post no se ha publicado, así que hoy les traigo un post adicional que no estaba en mis planes.
Hace unos días los muchachos y yo nos encontrábamos en el voice del canal de discord de HiveGC, escuchando música y hablando tonterías. Eran las 2 de la madrugada, hablábamos de todo un poco, cosas nostálgicas, aún no sé el porqué se me ocurrió lo siguiente:

"¿Que tal si jugamos HABBO?"
Lo gracioso es que los muchachos no dudaron en seguirme y abrir HABBO. Lo primero que hicimos fue intentar encontrar nuestras viejas cuentas, pero el juego parecía estar renovado, creo que todo lo anterior y todo el progreso que conseguiste hace varios años atrás, dejó de existir totalmente. En fin, empezamos desde 0 otra vez, en este divertido mundo.
Yo diciéndole a @therealflaws que baila muy bien. @brataka quiere ir a un lugar más privado, guiño guiño.
Después de poder acceder todos, decidimos ir a visitar una de las salas que más gente tenía en ese entonces para ver si el juego seguía vivo, efectivamente así fue. Sé que es una tontería, probablemente nadie de ustedes jugaría HABBO otra vez, pero nosotros lo hicimos y sinceramente pasamos una noche bastante agradable, jugamos hasta el amanecer. @Oldfool, @brataka y yo. Más tarde @therealflaws se conectó al voice desde su móvil y jugó con nosotros desde ahí. Nosotros 4 nos pusimos a hacer tonterías, créanme, nos divertimos mucho.

Siento que el juego si cambió muchísimo, pero aún sigue manteniendo su pequeña esencia. Aunque ahora parece que se puede obtener experiencia y subir de nivel, antes creo que solo se podían subir de nivel las insignias(logros) que obtenías al unirte a alguna nueva organización o al pasar tiempo jugando, decorando, etc. Hay salas hechas solo y únicamente para subir de nivel estando totalmente AFK, incluso puedes adquirir tu propio NFT de HABBO y pagar con Metamask, creí que lo de "HABBO fue el primer juego NFT" era una broma, creo que se lo tomaron en serio.

Todos sentados pensando en nuestro futuro. ¿Qué hacemos aquí?
¿Recuerdas la época del MSN Messenger? En ese entonces hice relaciones reales en Habbo. Con mi vieja cámara Web logré conocer a muchos jugadores de Habbo, aún recuerdo sus caras. También tuve noviecillas, créanme, no eran perfiles fake, todo era real, teníamos largas conversaciones por la cámara web.
Planeando un negocio a futuro, increíble. Nos pusimos tácticos esa noche.
Fueron como 5 noviecillas - amores platónicos que tuve, 2 argentinas y 3 chilenas. Fueron momentos épicos. También conocí a una familia completa que jugaba Habbo, vivían en una especia de Gaming House y cuando colocaban la cámara Web saludaban todos al mismo tiempo, era una locura, creo que Habbo era una completa red social.

Admito que tuve suerte de encontrarme con buenas personas, pero estoy seguro de que esto de relacionarse a ciegas con la gente tenía su punto negativo también, algo así como Catfishing. En fin, este post no busca enfocar lo malo de relacionarse con otros usuarios a través de la Web, mi experiencia en Habbo fue increíble, incluso hace unos días, siendo un adulto de 24 años, me divertí con mis amigos haciendo estupideces.

Incluso estábamos pensando crear un Imperio en Habbo que estuviese relacionado con Hive hahaha, pero eso ya será para otra ocasión.
