You guys are awesome. This group of incredible ladies did a potluck yesterday and the warmth was simply incredible. Of course we loved to be surrounded by beautiful ladies and there is not better community than the present one. @sireh and @rambai on behalf of #steem-cartoon definitely made their presence felt when they became the crowd favourite. Who doesn't love an artist. The plus factor not only in the charisma and charm but did a request for the birthday girl @angiechin28 by doing a live sketch.

Many of us are surprised how fast Leonardo DiCaprio rose to stardom. His good looks played a part but I personally think that it was this that made his the ladies' man.

There is an innate charm in a person that draws and we saw that charm yesterday. He immediately became the ladies man.

Chinese New Year Gathering

@angiechin28 was quite warm to extend us an invitation to their gathering and we thought, well afterall its the weekends and we needed some homecooked food and a lot of attention, so why not. It was done potluck style and we did have a feast. The salted egg yolk fish skin was so addictive that we could not take our hands off it. Its was deliciously sinful. There was a good spread of local delights, fried chicken, friend vermicelli, salad, nachos, cakes (birthday cakes), cookies, skewered BBQ chunks (satay), pizza and many more.

What we did not know was the gathering was also meant as a suprise party to @coloringiship, @angiechin28 and myself who just became a year older.

The Highlight

Well, this grabbed the limelight. I personally know @sireh and he is one talented artist with quick hands. He can do a caricature in 5 minutes but this time around, his hand shilvered and he was sweating. Never seen him blushing and getting so nervous. The ladies were quite cheeky and compounded the effect by calling his 'Jack'. But it was all in good jest. Of course he didn't manage to do it in 5 minutes.

The evening definitely wasn't quiet at all, it was all laughter and a few occasional screams from over excited ladies. Food was aplentiful.

Sireh wasn't the only bundle of nerves. I did a short guitar rendition but was having shaky fingers because of the ladies' that surrounded me. It is definitely not easy when they are shouting and cheering you on...not that it was a bad thing...its just too much attention.

Amazing People

It was also a good get to know you session. From the engagement, we realised that many of these woman comes from varied backgrounds. Some are single moms, cancer survivors, entrepreneurs, writers, businesswomen, housewives and many more. The host @patlu was simply wonderful because she couldn't stop feeding us with food. There is always warmth when food is available.

Of course the drawing exercise has its rewards and here is a picture that says it all...

The picture appears blurry because @sireh's hands are still trembling and he hasn't quite regained his composure.

But jokes aside, our presence was a show of support for this amazing group of people who did so much for themselves and the people around them. We are proud to be your friends and fellow steemians. If there are more to come, don't leave us out.
