So many people are missing out on the most important things that we have on HIVE... The people, the community, the connections, to have fun, to explore new places... This year, I have organized the second (mini) meetup in Serbia, and one new Hivian joined it... At the end of the meetup, I saw that spark in his eyes... He got hooked on meetups! 😃 That's how it works when you are in a good company!

In this show, we were talking about he next BIG Hive gathering that will happen very soon, but not so soon that you can't organize yourself and go! We were talking about the Hive Summit, which will happen from 22nd to 24th August this year, in Aachen, Germany! The founder of this event, @Detlev, was with us in the #HHHLive show to talk more about it, and to facilitate the arrival of Hivians, and new Hivians!

If I understood our guest, Aachen is a city in Germany, on the border with the Netherlands and Belgium, so you can visit 3 countries in a few minutes... (and I think that will happen during the event... 😃) It doesn't have it's airport, but you have plenty of them to pick in the 1-hour range car drive... We talked about that and many other things in the show...

Just a few titbits, before you click on the PLAY button of the recording of the show under these lines...

• As we knew @detlev from the previous guesting, we dive deep from the first moments of the show, where he tried to explain WHY he is doing stuff that he is doing... On HIVE, for HIVE, and...?

• How was the idea of Hive Summit born? Why pick a church for the main event venue?!

• He shared a lot of things about the city of Aachen and its history... Also, the easiest way to get there...

• I noticed that a ticket price is sooooo cheap, so I had to ask why that is and how that is possible?

• He also shared parts of the schedule for the event where one of the main things, right from the first day, will be the European premiere of the Freechain movie! A story about our chain and the resistance! 🙂

• We also talked about the speakers... The event will not be ONLY about HIVE, which means that there will be speakers outside too... This is a great opportunity for crosschain collaborations, too... I hope that some ideas will be born during the networking time at the event...

In the second part of the show, the mic was open for questions from the audience...

• @godfish was first on mic to share his experience from the previous Aachen meetup that he attended... If you need a bit of encouragement, listen to his words... :)

• @palomap3 asked in the chat channel if there will be a live stream during the event, which was confirmed by Detlev! I bet those who are not able to go to Aachen will follow it!

• One of them is @jza, who came on mic to share that he will not be able to attend due to other obligations, but he will not miss the stream!

When the question from the audience ran out, I wanted to hear more about the raffle that will be organized during the event, as I heard there will be some free tickets as a reward! 1 for the upcoming HiveFest in Kuala Lumpur, and the other 10 for the Conf3rence in Dortmund!

As we had a bit more free time close to the end of the show, we talked a bit about Worldmapin and the August challenge!
