The social networking event of a lifetime is coming to Bangkok
My wife and I have lived in Cambodia for nearly 8 years now, and since joining steem, we have heard all about steemfest. Unfortunately last years event was so far away it was impossible for us to make it. But this year it's practically landed on our door step, the land of organised chaos...Thailand!.

I'm so excited I can't wait... only 122 days!
I booked our accommodation at the Prince Palace hotel today (The official hotel where the majority of steemians will be) However if you look on Agoda there are places within walking distance for as little at $88 for the entire 5 days.
Depending on where you are travelling from, Malaysia is a great HUB with plenty of reasonably priced flights.
I know my excitement will only grow as the event draws closer. The food, the nightlife, the markets, the massages. Thailand is jam packed with things to see and do, and if you've never been to Asia, your in for a treat.
But for me Steemfest is the most exciting part of it all. Getting to meet other users face to face. Sitting in on presentations and seeing whats on the horizon for steem, what new dapps and games are on their way, plus I'm sure I'll learn of a few I have already missed. exciting times...

It's a great destination for people of all ages, whether your single, traveling as a group or as a family, your bound to find an abundance of things to keep yourselves entertained.
If you have never seen a ping pong show... I suggest you check it out, My wife took me! It's not a sexually appealing thing, more of a W.T.F did I just watch kind of thing... (WARNING THIS IS NOT A FAMILY EVENT!!!)
Bangkok is such a diverse city in itself, but jump on a quick flight, down to one of the Islands and it's almost like your in an entirely different country. Flights can often be as cheap as $30 with Thai Smile Airways. If the hustle and bustle of Bangkok starts to become to much escape to the scenic Island for some fishing or snorkeling, rent bikes or jet-skis, go parasailing or just relax on the beach or in your resort with a cocktail... or 12, you are on holiday after all!

P.S When you land at the airport, or even get to a 7/11 store, you can get a cheap tourist sim card, which can come in handy if you cannot speak the language, do a quick search for what your after and show them pics, plus it will allow you to use apps such as google translate, the Thai translations are pretty decent, you may not need it, but it's cheap and handy to have.
