PHOTOGRAPHER'S STORY (featuring Scott Thompson)
''Hello, I am Scott Thompson of Scott Shots Photography. In 1994, I was attending college with plans on being a veterinarian. After a couple years, I realized I was not as passionate about the career as I initially was. It was around that time my grandfather gave me his old Olympus OM-1 and I decided to take a black and white photography class just for the fun of it. I loved the class!!! I loved how I was able to use the artistic side of my brain as I had been painting and drawing for years. And I loved how I was also able to use the science-loving side of my brain with all the chemistry and camera settings and gear involved.
After I completed the first B&W class I got a job at a little mom and pop camera store in North Hollywood, California where I got to work with professionals and I got to teach new camera owners how to use their new gear. In 1998 I started Scott Shots Photography and began to take on commercial photography work. Fast forward a bit, I got married, had a kid, and we decided to move to the Lake Tahoe area in 2002, where I started living out my dreams as a landscape photographer.
I still shoot plenty of commercial photography but my passion is indeed landscapes. I am fortunate to be able to sell my prints (that I print personally on an Epson 9900) at the Vista Gallery in Kings Beach, at other stores in the area, and through my website www.ScottShotsPhoto.com.
On Steemit, I have been trying to share a bit of the photo knowledge I've accumulated in the last 20+ years. If you follow along, hopefully, I can teach you something new!''

A table explanation
Votes - Each curator distributes a certain part of the reward pool with his votes (upvote / flag). Authors - This part of the pool he distributes between a certain number of authors. VAS (vote average strength) - For general awareness, we can estimate the average vote strength in percents (%), with which the curator votes. Contr. (SBD) (Contribution in SBD) - The distributed part of the pool is the contribution of the curator, it is calculated in SBD. In this case, the author's reward is taken into account. The curator's reward is not taken into account. Share % - The percentage of the curator contribution among the contributions of all curators, we can also estimate for information purposes in %. Eff. - The effectiveness of the curator is estimated in conventional units.
