Love broke me into a million fragments, A mosaic of pain, a broken dream's scene. In the night's embrace, fear sent shivers down my spine, As love's grip tightened, leaving my heart confined.
Love played me like a puppet on a string, In my youth and naivety, it took everything. It made me vulnerable, helpless, and used, A prisoner in my own world, emotions confused.
But time, a gentle healer, whispered its song, Guiding me towards self-love, where I belong. My mended heart, now guarded, stood tall and strong, Resolute to never love again, I once declared, so long.
Yet love, persistent, knocked upon my door, Beckoning me to open, to explore. Though wary of its dangers, I took a chance, For true love's warmth, I yearned in this cosmic dance.
With walls pulled down, my promises set free, I embraced the vulnerability, hope you see. Ready to be loved, by a soul so true, My missing rib, my love, forever I pursue.
A chance to love again, a precious gift bestowed, I'll cherish it dearly, till eternity's road. In this poem's verses, our love shall forever reside, As we journey together, hand in hand, and side by side.
