Mis queridos Hivers... El arte es una de las formas en que los humanos sumamos belleza a la vida. Dentro del arte tenemos al teatro, y dentro del teatro a los titiriteros. Artistas que con su ingenio y habilidades crean personajes para representar las historias que quieren contar. Son espectáculos que gustan a todos y que se encuentran en todas las culturas con sus diferentes características. Pero generalmente están dedicados a los niños, pues tienen una gran carga de fantasía y enseñanzas que ellos disfrutan mucho.
Hace unos días como parte de las celebraciones por la semana de la cultura municipal de nuestra ciudad de Bauta, tuvimos una exposición del trabajo de la única artista que trabaja el arte de los títeres en nuestro municipio. En la Biblioteca (donde trabaja @liz91) se organizó una muestra de su trabajo artístico, con fotografías de sus presentaciones, escenografías, titeres, máscaras, etc. Una veintena de niños fueron invitados a compartir con ella las alegrías, historias y personajes allí expuestos.
Grisel franco, con amorosa paciencia desveló a los pequeños la magia de sus escenografías y personajes. Les hablo sobre las técnicas de reciclaje con las que fueron elaboradas, y narró para ellos las historias que representan.
Ya son varias décadas dedicadas al trabajo con títeres. Ella misma les contó a modo de complicidad cuando siendo pequeña le mostraron este mundo de personajes e historias. Los niños con sus inquietas miradas y sus amplias sonrisas han sido siempre sus mejores espectadores. El público al que se ha consagrado por muchos años y del que se dice son los más agradecidos y felices...
En las paredes de la sala principal de la Biblioteca cuelgan expuestos varios de sus títeres. Cada uno evoca la historia que le da vida y son ejemplos del cariño, la destreza y el ingenio con que han sido elaborados. Generalmente se usa cartón, telas, alambres, esponjas, y otros materiales reciclados para confeccionarlos.

Este conjunto de máscaras, títeres y personajes, hechos de forma creativa y artesanal con sus propias, nos acercan a un mundo fantasioso de aventuras.
Tomando fotos para registrar las distintas acciones dentro de la actividad, tuve la corazonada de que retratar los rostros de sus títeres, daría una visión de la diversidad de personajes, historias y materiales utilizados. Son personajes que esperan silenciosamente el momento de salir a escena, que cobran vida gracias a la pasión del público y junto a el recrean con imaginación las más diversas historias y enseñanzas.
No faltaron elementos que a modo pedagógico se muestran en fase de realización. El Papier Maché es una de las técnicas más usadas por los titiriteros. En este caso vemos que envases plásticos fueron organizados y cubiertos de papel para ir conformando las figuras de los títeres...
Grisel no es solo titiritera, recientemente hizo el personaje de una cineasta francesa en una película cubana. Su pasión es la actuación, y los títeres ese motivo para acercarse a los más pequeños y darles mensajes que los ayuden a crecer como mejores seres humanos. El arte es el camino de adornar la vida, regalando a otros la alegría y la sabiduría de vivir.

My dear Hivers... Art is one of the ways in which humans add beauty to life. Within art we have theater, and within theater we have puppeteers. Artists who use their ingenuity and skills to create characters to represent the stories they want to tell. These are shows that everyone enjoys and that are found in all cultures with their different characteristics. But they are generally aimed at children, as they are full of fantasy and lessons that they really enjoy.
A few days ago, as part of the celebrations for Municipal Culture Week in our city of Bauta, we held an exhibition of the work of the only artist who works with puppets in our municipality. The library (where @liz91 works) organized an exhibition of her artistic work, with photographs of her performances, stage sets, puppets, masks, etc. About twenty children were invited to share with her the joys, stories, and characters on display there.
Grisel Franco lovingly and patiently revealed the magic of her sets and characters to the children. She told them about the recycling techniques used to make them and narrated the stories they represent.
She has been working with puppets for several decades now. She herself told us, with a sense of complicity, how she was introduced to this world of characters and stories when she was a child. Children, with their curious eyes and broad smiles, have always been her best audience. The audience she has devoted herself to for many years and who are said to be the most grateful and happy...
Several of his puppets are displayed on the walls of the library's main room. Each one evokes the story that brings it to life and is an example of the love, skill, and ingenuity with which they have been made. Cardboard, fabric, wire, sponges, and other recycled materials are generally used to make them.

This collection of masks, puppets, and characters, creatively and skillfully crafted by hand, transports us to a fantastical world of adventure.
Taking photos to record the different actions within the activity, I had a hunch that portraying the faces of their puppets would give a glimpse of the diversity of characters, stories, and materials used. These are characters who wait silently for their moment to take the stage, who come to life thanks to the passion of the audience and, together with them, recreate with imagination the most diverse stories and teachings.
There was no shortage of elements that were shown in progress for educational purposes. Papier-mâché is one of the techniques most commonly used by puppeteers. In this case, we can see that plastic containers were organized and covered with paper to form the figures of the puppets...
Grisel is not only a puppeteer; she recently played the role of a French filmmaker in a Cuban movie. Her passion is acting, and puppets are her way of reaching out to children and giving them messages that help them grow into better human beings. Art is a way of embellishing life, giving others the joy and wisdom of living.
