Do you ever get tired of eating the same old things? Here, we eat rice as our staple food, which sometimes makes me feel a bit bored. This morning, I was hungry but didn't feel like having rice. I wanted to eat something satisfying but not too heavy on the stomach. I thought of salad, so I opened the refrigerator to see what ingredients I had to magically transform into a salad for myself. Hmm, from what I saw, these ingredients were enough for me to make a boiled egg salad. Oh, I also had some wonton wrappers I'd stored in the freezer compartment. I thought I should use them before they went bad. That's when I got the idea for this menu: "Boiled Egg Salad in Golden Boats."

· 5 wonton wrappers · 1 boiled egg · Boiled corn kernels · Blanched diced carrots · Mayonnaise · Oil for frying · Leaf lettuce



🌿 Instructions

I'll start by preparing the Golden Boats made from these wonton wrappers. I used just five sheets, folding them into boat shapes. I cut one wrapper in half diagonally to make two triangles. Then, I folded the corners as you can see in the picture, lightly brushing them with water before pressing them together to form the boat shape. I pressed gently to make them stick together. I did this until all five were done. It's very easy, right?

The next step is to fry the boats until they are crispy and golden yellow. I placed them on a wire rack and carefully spooned hot oil over them. The important thing to be careful about is to use low heat so the oil doesn't get too hot and burn the boats. Once done, let them drain on a rack or use paper towels to absorb the excess oil.

Next is making the simple salad. I put one boiled egg in a bowl and mashed it into small pieces (but not too finely). I added the boiled corn kernels, blanched diced carrots, and mayonnaise. Then, I mixed everything together until well combined.

I spooned the boiled egg salad into the golden boats, garnished with leaf lettuce, and sprinkled some ebiko on top. It looked really nice. Plated it up, and it was ready to eat
