Be a master of making 100% vegan, 100% sugar-free, 100% handcrafted chocolate from beans to bar ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ

I was travelling all over Mexico in the last three months, and once I got to Chiapas, I felt like I was in Heaven. There are huge cacao plantations over there and they produce very good quality of cacao. Most of the cacao beans get exported to Europe where the famous chocolate factories create very yummy chocolate bars for us. Although most of them are very tasty, they are usually filled with sugar, milk, etc...

As a vegan diabetic, I was extremely happy to take a course of making 100% vegan and 100% sugar-free Chocolate made of 100% cacao :))))

This is how the cacao fruit and the cacao beans look like. The beans get dried and fermented before starting to make the chocolate. Here in Mexico, you can buy fermented cacao beans in every market per kilo. 30656822_170730956960796_5994989908094091264_n.jpg

Get rid of the skin after toasting them. The skin gets powdered and this is what we know as cacao powder. The interior is used for making chocolate. 30698006_170731056960786_1869329011721633792_n.jpg

Pour the chocolate into forms and let it cool in room temperature. If you can't wait to eat it, set it in the fridge to shorten the time :D 30704806_170731176960774_8719316856839602176_n.jpg

This chocolate is bitter, because I didn't add any sugar or sweetener to it, but I love it this way. Sometimes I drink it as a hot chocolate, then I add a little agave to it.
