Today, we present a new edition of THE BEST OF THE WEEK. Our intention with this post is to recognize the best of the best of the posts that you, friends of Hivers, share weekly in our Plant Power (Vegan) community, selecting the top three recipes from the previous week; which on this occasion corresponds to the period from Wednesday, August 6 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
Each of the selected publications will be reviewed in this curatorship, and in turn, its author will be awarded 50 $foodie token, in order to give him/her a modest recognition for the excellence and quality of his/her work.
Having said all of the above, let's see which recipes are THE BEST OF THE WEEK in this edition
Stewed lentils with mashed potatoes. Recipe | by @marivic10
This week, @marivic10 shared a beautiful memory from her childhood: lentils. In a wonderful post, she tells us that her grandmother used to make lentils for her, so she decided to make some stewed lentils, served on a bed of mashed potatoes. A super nutritious, delicious, and well-explained recipe, which is definitely part of The Best of the Week!
Mango Pandan Sticky Rice | by @aswita
There's a Thai dessert @aswita loves: Mango Pandan Sticky Rice. She always eats it when she visits Bangkok. But since she can't travel there right now, she decided to make this wonderful, traditional dessert at home. To do so, she submitted a post with very precise instructions and gorgeous photos, which is why it's also part of The Best of the Week!
Frozen dessert my new creation | by @hindavi
The month of August is a special month for Hindu culture, and honoring this holiday and its roots, @hindavi has shared with us a frozen dessert, which she carefully made to honor a very sattvic (pure) diet, meaning vegan. She prepared this delicious and beautiful recipe using melon and coconut milk. She also made a melon milk with its seeds, creating a beautiful and delicious dish that definitely deserves to be part of The Best of the Week!
