@steemianpolitics is moving from the steem blockchain onto the hive blockchain. This is mostly due to what has been happening in the steem blockchain community over the last month +.

@steemianpolitics is shutting down and being rebranded as @politicalhive. More details about the rebranding will be posted in the next few days.

What this means:

  • All PAY token holder balances are being moved from steem-engine.com to hive-engine.com.
  • Staking is still enabled for PAY token.

What is changing:

Starting May 01, 2020 token rewards will be based on weekly manual curation rather than relying on scotbot automation for distributing tokens. This will be a several month long experiment to see if that increases both demand and price of the PAY token. If the experiment doesn't work out PAY will begin using the scotbot service again on hive like it did for steem.

More details will be posted in a few days about manual curation of political posts and rewards.

Doublespeak translation:

In other words, I had enough for token creation on hive and staking but I couldn't afford scotbot initialization at the current time on hive because I have different plans for that fund. In a few months I should be able to afford scotbot initialization for the PAY token. If in a few months PAY token still isn't performing well I can declare the weekly manual curation reward experiment a failure and announce PAY will start using automated rewards again. If the PAY token is performing better in sales and value in a few months I can just claim it hasn't achieved the desired levels and buy the scotbot service for PAY on hive then.

When boiled down isn't that exactly what politics is in the end? A combination of perception, pretending what happens is all part of the plan and time shifting priorities.
