Hello everyone @needleworkmonday,it been a great weekend mine was great yet full of work. I am posting that this new week will be great and awesome. I am here and also glad to share with you the gown i made for myself. I had a friend's traditional marriage to attend and this ankara fabric was her choosen uniform to be used by her friends and invitees. So i got just two yards of the fabric and i went to the market to get another fabric to combine with it. On getting to the market i didn't have any specific fabric to buy,i went with the thought buying anything that looks nice. And behold i saw this sample lace and i wondered what I'll use it for or how i will combine it. And i decided to be a bit creative so i got it and i bought other stuff and i headed back home.

Here are the materials i used in sewing this gown - Ankara fabric - Black sample lace - scissors - Measuring tape.

The first step i took for the fabric was to fold it into two,i took my burst measurements, shoulder, half-length,hips and length. For the back side i repeated the same procedure but i added zip allowance to it. For the zip allowance i used two inches. I needed short sleeve for the gown so i also cut it out I took nine inches for it.

Therefore i joined the parts together and sew. I also put in the zip

The next step was to join the lace fabric i bought So i cut it out and sew it on the down part of the gown

And finally my gown was ready.

Thank so much for going through my post
