I hope you all are good,i am really getting better by the day.
Today,i am glad to share with you the dress i made for a customer.
I guess she is really a nice person,a friend of mind referred her to me and when she came around she told me that she would love to try something simple from me.
I asked her for her style and she said she wouldn't mind having a crop top and a gathers skirt
The first step i took was to cut out the top part of it.
After taking her measurements i was ready to work.
I took the length measurements of the top,
I cut out the neck,armhole and the waist.
And for the back part of it,there was a zip allowance of one and a half inches
I also cut out the sleeves, and for all the parts i had also created a black lining for it as i sew through with it lining and i also inserted the zip and the top was almost ready.
The next part was for the skirt,i cut out the fabric for the skirt and i started bending the bottom of it. Through sewing,i usually use my thread and needle for my gathers before pressing it on the machine.
But this time around i used my machine instead
For my final stage,i cut out a band for the skirt and i sew through and inserted a an elastic to it.
The elastic was still my customer's choice and i tried to sew exactly what she wanted.
She game for her clothes and her top needed some adjustments which i adjusted for her and i am glad she was pleased with the outcome.
