Hello everyone @needleworkmonday community
How was your weekend
I hope it was great, mine was great and busy as usual
Today i will love to share with you all the beautiful dress i made for a client.
I had a discussion with her since last month concerning a music concert they would have in their church.
She had earlier told me that she was expecting a coperate gown from me.
I remembered when i had asked her of the colour and then she said that her choir was indecisive wether to choose a white or a black colour

Finally they were certain on the colour of the gown Hence, she called and told me to make a black colour gown for her.
Here are the materials i used :
- Black colour crepe fabric,
- Scissors
- Measuring tape and
- A black colour zip.
First step:
She didn't come to my shop for measurement because she usually had a tight schedule so i offered to stop by her place to take her measurements.
I took her full length measurements, shoulder, half length, burst ,waist, sleeve length and round sleeve
Since the down part of it was a flare there was no need for hips measurements

Next step
I folded the fabric in an angle form for the flare pattern,i marked the waist and the length which i cut it out and for the back side i did the same thing but i included two inches of zip allowance.

Next step
For the upper side, after all the measurements i cut it out at the half length measurements and for the back side i also included the zip allowance.

Next Step
For the the front part of the upper dress i tiik a V-shape design for the neck and i also created a collar design on it.

After working on each of the parts i carefully joined each parts together and i was glad that my clients gown was ready. I later gave her a call informing her that her gown was ready, after spending close to four hours on her dress. She came for it and it fitted just so nice on her. That was one of the satisfied i had today.
