Hello everyone @needlework Monday,it is always exciting to be here, how are you all? I hope the weekend was great.
I enjoyed mine and most importantly i am grateful for life.
I am really glad to share with you all the dress i made for my friend.
I remembered the day i visited her,it was really fun and we spoke about a lot of things and when it was time for me to go, i personally requested if she has any fabric that i could help her sew.
Well, she was so excited but she wasn't too sure if she had any fabric left.
For some minutes she went in and checked
Thereafter, she came out looking worried,i asked her what the problem was and she replied that she couldn't find a nice fabric for sewing except for the one she was holding which was not up to two yards of fabric.
Well i took a look at the fabric and i told her that i can still create a nice style from it. I took her measurements and i left.
Here are the materials i used:
- Ankara fabric
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
I decided to start sewing her fabric on Friday.
On Friday evening,i got the fabric and i thought of a style that would be okay for the fabric size.
So i choosed a simple gown style but unique.
I cut out the front side of it and i also used a black colour fabric to design the upper part of it
I also cut out the back side with zip allowance
Still using the same black fabric for the upper part.
I cut out the sleeves and i joined all the pieces together by sewing
I tried as much as possible to add some designs to it.
The collar and the white buttons really made it unique.
She came for her dress on Saturday evening and ahe was so grateful when she saw it.
