Hello everyone @needleworkmonday community
It was a stressful and a busy weekend for me,i had a lot of work to deliver and i wasn't feeling to well for it because i had a cold ,i managed through it with some medications just to make sure that my customers were satisfied.
Happily for me i was able to make them happy i delivered most of their clothes on time and i am here to share with you all one of the clothes i made for my customer.
She brought this fabric for me few weeks ago and she told me that she will used it on the second Sunday of August, she told me to choose a style for her that she doesn't have any in mind.
Well,i told her that i will create something nice for her.
So i decided to make a long pencil gown for her with a stylish up.
Here are the materials i used:
- Ankara fabric
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
The first step i took was to cut out the down part of the dress first.
I marked out the length measurements, the hips and the waist measurement and i cut it out
The second step i took was to cut out the top part of the dress, both the front and the back, for the back i put in zip allowance,i measured the shoulder, the burst and the waist and i cut out the neck.
I used stay for it and i also fixed bra cup to it as i cover it with lining.
For the hand i decided to create a flare hand for her,so i used hard paper gum for the hand to make it firm.
At this stage,i decided to bead the upper side of the gown,i felt it will add more beauty to it so I marked out the place i wanted to bead, and i started beading.
Finally i was through with it,she came for her dress and she was amazed for the style i had created for her,she loved it and i am glad she did.
