Hello everyone @needleworkmonday community
I am glad to be here, how was your weekend i hope it was productive, fun and awesome.
I am being positive about this new week and hopefully it will be productive to us all.

Today,i am glad to share with you all the dress i made for my daughter.
I had known that she needed more clothes as she kept on growing taller by the day.
Most of her old clothes are now being used by the younger sister and i would seized and opportunity to make new clothes for her.
Here are the simple materials i used:
- Ankara fabric
- Scissors
- A plain black fabric
- Measuring tape and chalk
- Black colour lining and trimming

The first step i took was to get the ankara fabric,it wasn't up to two yards of fabric but i knew that with a right style i would do something tangible with it. So i cut out a rectangular pattern and put it on the sewing machine to create a gathers.
And here is the gathers i made

The next step was to get the black colour fabric.
I folded it and i cut out the half length of it.
The black fabric was half a yard, the style i made for her was without sleeves so i didn't need much of the fabric.
I took her shoulder measurements, burst, waist and length.i turned it with lining and i cut out the back side of it also with zip allowance.

After creating the top and the down part i joined it together to make a gown.
I fixed the black trimming on it and it was ready.

Finally here is my daughter's dress, she wore it and i was glad i could sew something new for her .
