Hello everyone @needleworkmonday ,i welcome you all to a new and fantastic week.
I pray may this new week be favorable to us and the people around us.
I am hopeful and positive,i i also wish for a stressful week.
Today i will be glad to share with you the Sunday outfit i made for a client.
I felt it was a unique one because i had to combine the fabric with an ankara fabric.
I usually combined fabrics if the fabric is not enough.
But in this case there was enough fabric to be used
All my clients wanted was just for the styles of combination.
I had gotten her measurements and she explained to me what she wanted.
Sometimes i chossed styles for my clients but some usually come with their own styles and truthfully Some of their styles are always so unique.
Here are the simple materials i used in creating this gown
- Ankara fabric
- Black colour crepe fabric
- Scissors and
- Measuring tape.
Steps taken:
From her measurements i folded the fabric into two
I took her shoulder measurements, the length, burst, waist and hips measurements.
Her shoulder measurements was with her sleeve.
After cutting out the front side of the gown
I proceeded in cutting the back side.
With the back side there was extra inches for zip allowance.
Next steps
I got the black crepe fabric and i did the same thing i did with the ankara fabric
Next step
Because of my client style,i got the front part of the ankara fabric,i reduced to the length to want i could used
I placed the ankara fabric in the black fabric after cutting it out and i began to sew on it
I sew all the pieces together and i also created a black colour band for some design on the sleeve.
Finally i had finished on time,it took me four hours to complete this gown and i am grateful i did and she wasn't disappointed.
