Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is on Feathered Friends. The topic of today's post is Birds and food and i am going to share with you a photographs of Little Cormorant. Today's topic is not as easy as it seems. Because if you take a camera and go out to capture a bird with food, it will not be possible. This is an occasional incident that accumulates. In the photographs shown in my post today, the Cormorant bird was also captured while eating. Which I am presenting here in different frames captured at different times. And at the same time I am presenting the first photograph as my entry for today's post in Feathered Friends Show Me A Photo Contest Round 235 run by @nelinoeva .
In the photograph above, a small cormorant can be seen which is a water bird usually found near rivers, lakes and wetlands. This bird belongs to the cormorant family and is known for its excellent fishing skills. In the photograph, the bird can be seen holding a fish in its beak. Which shows one of its most important habits of catching fish and eating it at the same time.
This small cormorant is a medium-sized bird with black or dark brown feathers. Its feathers often shine when the sun shines. This also gives the bird a shiny appearance. Unlike many other water birds, this cormorant does not have waterproof feathers. This allows it to dive underwater and helps it swim very easily. Because water can pass through its feathers and reduce buoyancy. After diving, this bird is often seen sitting on rocks or open areas. The reason for doing this is that this bird spreads its wings to dry in the sun.
As can be seen in the photograph above, the small cormorant is sitting on the rocky ground next to a reservoir. It has just caught a fish. Which is its main source of food. This bird dives deep into the water and uses its sharp beak to quickly catch fish. Once the fish is caught, it is swallowed by the shark, as seen in the photograph here.
The little cormorant plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the aquatic ecosystem. Since fish are the main food of these birds, they help control the fish population. And ensure that no single species dominates the water body. These birds are also indicators of healthy wetlands. Because they prefer to live in clean and rich water bodies with abundant fish.
I believe that this photograph not only reflects the natural beauty of the bird, but also the wonders of nature. The way a cormorant catches and swallows fish is a perfect example of how every animal adapts perfectly to its environment.
I hope that my post will accept the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 237.
I sincerely thank you for visiting and reading my post.
